Yes, I think we'd be wearing little electric chairs or needles or cross-like gurneys around our necks. I bet it's no coincidence that the lethal-injection gurney looks like the Cross!
BTW, Jesus told us to commemorate his death through Holy Communion. However, he didn't want us to stop there. He told us that the most important commandments were to "Love God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength" and "Love your neighbor as yourself." Without love, the memory of his death, or his life, hardly matters.

It's not possible for him to have died by electric chair or injection for one simple reason .... you athiests wouldn't have believed He really died. You would have provided scientific evidence of how a person can survive both of those deaths, thereby proving that He didn't rise on the third day, He was never dead!
So He had to die that way, horribly and cruelly, so there was no doubt. Thanks to you.
I don't honor His death, the cross is just a symbol, not the Christ. If it falls off my necklace, I'll just go get another one, no biggie. And if you really knew me, you'd know that I honor how He lived daily, hourly, each minute ... because I try to do things the same way, all the time.
But you couldn't know that could you ... you just wanted to jab and poke fun at Christians because it makes you feel good. How sad your life must be, I'm sorry you were hurt.

If Jesus had died by electric chair he would have to live in this day and age. Refer back to the '60s, the "Summer of Love" -- every hippie had the Christ spirit, and no authoritarian / establishment figure cared, e.g., Kent State. Furthermore, if JC had died by electric chair, he would most likely have been convicted of murder with special circumstances. Not a good image for the savior of humanity, so the electric chair icon is a moot point. I do agree with you, however, that we should honor life instead of concentrating on what we "get" after we die for being good Christians. That last sentence alone is a logical absurdity. You die, you get dead. That's it. I don't believe in ghosts or the supernatural. Make the most out of the years you have being alive.

If the electric chair was how Jesus was sacrificed then maybe there would be statues of him in an electric chair because people wear the cross and have statues of the cross to symbolize his ultimate sacrifice. You obviously don't understand the sacrifice he made for you or you wouldn't be criticizing him or his followers in such a way. Christians do honor the way he lived by living in the way he did, by being kind to others, etc. The cross is just a reminder of how loved we are because God gave his only Son to save us.

VThere are at least 45,000 Protestant churches in the U.S.
What caused all these different beliefs if the MESSAGE is so clear?
What makes you believe that you have more than a 1 in 45,000 chance of being in the 'correct' church?
Virgin Birth - A preconceived notion?
What is the Imacculate Conception?
An Imacculate deception?
Betcha don't know.
Did Jesus give up Saturday for us?
Jesus? Christianity? .
If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.
Gods do not die? Do they?
If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?
If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.
If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!

Wow - you really have something there. I think you are right in a sense. The crucifix, was a method first devised by the romans for executing people. If they had a different method, like a simple beheading, then an axe might be hanging in your church instead. But then of course, that might ruin that whole 'resurrection thing'.

unquestionably the emblem of the go in all hazard got here visiting by using sinful motives. THe go became initially a pagan image representing 3 fake Gods. We already comprehend that the Romans did no longer crucify human beings on crosses as much as 'stakes' so the undeniable fact that Jesus became killed on a go shows the romans used it for symbolism. THey already mocked him for asserting he became king, so it became no longer remarkable that they might place him on an emblem that represented fake Gods (because of the fact he became claiming to be one). The go became no longer an emblem of christianity until hundreds of years later while the catholic church became attempting to transform pagans. They replaced a lot of as quickly as christian issues to be greater pagan-like in nature.... why else do you think of there is such good ties in christian holidays and custom to paganism? The go in all hazard became a fave image completely because of the fact it became pagan..... Does that mean its incorrect to positioned on the go???? i do no longer comprehend. Does the beginning of the emblem mean something to what it is reffering to interior the present? Does the undeniable fact that God many times advised us to stay far off from pagan-appropriate thigns replace whether or no longer we could desire to continually we the go??????

Wow! Excellent question!
Yes, people would probably hang replicas of gas chambers in the fronts of their churches, put lethal injection syringes on their walls at home, and wear mini electric chairs around their necks. Of course, a true Christian would never do such a thing, knowing that any such images amount to idolotry and are disgusting in the eyes of Jehovah God.
And, although Christ Jesus does ask us to remember his death (Luke 22:19,20 1 Corinthians 11:25), he wishes that we imitate his life of self-sacrifice and service to his father in heaven.
Yes, I am sure that Christ, our King, is quite unhappy with those who claim to be followers of him and yet revert to the pagan traditions of man instead of true worship.
** Matthew 15: 8,9 - "This people honors me with their lips, yet their heart is far removed from me. It is in vain that they keep worshiping me, because they teach commands of men as doctrines."
** Matthew 7:21-23 - "Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will....then I will confess to them: I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness."

I'm sure we'd have statues of whatever method was used to kill him. Although back then, it would have been stoning or something a little less technical. And while we have no doubt messed up His message over time, I think He understands that we're doing the best we can.

Let me put it this way. There will be no impact.God wanted to impact the world. The cross that Jesus had to drag to Gethsemane while carrying this cross he was persecuted by man.He was in reach to man to do harm to.Then he was whip, crown of thorns was put on his head, there was nails in his hands and feet,he was cut on both side of his body,he was given vingar and water to drink,he was spit on,his clother was rip off of him and he was hung on the cross for all to see him die.Jesus death on the cross show how many of us will be persecuted and have a horrific death. The things you pick, there no suffering.Remember Jesus had to die like we have to die.So what ever death we had he had it.I hope this help.
