What?
Sex between two people who are not married is a sin. If both partners agree (and are not married) then both partners are equally committing a sin. There is nothing innocent or clean about it. Sex was created by God to be enjoyed in the sanctity of HOLY matrimony between a husband and his wife.
Rape is a sin. The person committing the act is committing a sin. The woman or man being raped is a victim. There is no consent. How then can both actions be the same?

Frankly, sin is realtive. There are the BIG sin no-nos spoken of in the Ten Commandments...here, let me give an example to better explain myself.
My grandparents think smoking, drinking, and going to movies are "sin". If they would smoke, drink, or go to a movie, they are sinning...
I on the other hand do not think that smoking, drinking, or going to movies is a sin. Am I held to my grandparents ideology of sin, or to my own.
There are some sins that are relative to what you personally believe...rape, of course, is not one of those instances because of the fact that it goes against the will...and free will is very important when it comes to sin, both of yourself and outside parties.
The people having sex...frankly it depends on where you lie with pre-marital sex. I don't believe it is a sin as long as the two people in question knew what they were doing, knew the responsibility to EACH other, knew the consequences, and it is consentual.
Now, to those people on here that believe that sex before marriage is wrong, then it is a sin if they commit it...but am I held to the same measuring stick? I don't know, but I can guess.
But I actually don't know...when it comes to the topic of sin, people will have many different answers and opinions...this is mine. Hope it helps (in some way).

There is a Jewish story about a blind man and a lame man who conspired to steal a neighbors fruit. The blind man said to the lame man, "I'll put you on my shoulders. You tell me which direction to walk to get to the orchard. Once we are there you can pluck the fruit."
The neighbor caught them with the stolen fruit and dragged them before a judge.
The blind man said to the judge, "How could I steal the fruit. I can't even see the trees."
The lame man said, "How could I steal the fruit? I can't even walk to the trees."
So the judge put the lame man on the blind man's shoulders and judged them as one being.
The original point of the story was to show the necessity of the physical resurrection from the dead. Neither the blind man (the body) nor the soul (the lame man) can sin on its own.
In this case, one could argue that neither intent alone nor actions alone make a sin, but both together.

Sin means "without". In this instance- without malice.
The whole idea of sin is a man made (and I do mean MEN man) invention to control people through fear of some imagined retribution from a whiny, petty, jealous, angry man invented god.
The real sin of man is the ego feeding control freak need to pee on every tree and mark it (MINE! MINE!) and the ridiculous notion that they are RIGHT to deem themselves superior to anything or anyone.

Sex is good, clean and innocent when the people are married to each other. If not, the Bible says it is sin.

Intent has nothing to do with the Word of God.
If He says it's sin then it is.
And sex outside of marriage is sin.

I do not think that examples of actions you presented are similar. Maybe for persons who are totally deprived of empathy only. But they are exceptions, because people grow as social beings and feel more discomfort even thinking about doing bad things for others.

Simple. One was unwilling and it was FORCED unpon them. Violating their body and their mind and spirit. BUT, since we're talking about "sin" then all of them have sinned excepted the one that was raped (since it was forced upon him/her). Unless the 2 who had consensual sex were married, they to sinned : )

The Bible provides us with God's definition of what constitutes sin. It is not a question that we should try answering ourselves.
