Sure the "spiritually correct" answer is 'Nothing', but If I were sitting on the throne and had the chance to start everything from scratch, I'd probably reserve the right of free will to a limited amount of people, or give myself the power to revoke it/override it. It seems that at times, even God wished he had done something like that (especially in the Old Testament), but I suppose HE would never do that because he understands that maybe that would ruin a much deeper purpose for humanity.
I just wanted to be honest and answer the question from the vantage point of ME being in control, as I'm sure the question was meant to intend.

if i play god hmm? theres a idea maybe i would have not allowed two hateful religions to be born and given proof of who i was and what i wanted the world to do. the first thing i would change would be to remove all the hatred in the world and set peace on it for all times.

the two most hateful religions on this earth are christianity and islam. both are just ignorant to what god would really be like thats for sure.

playing god is a hard job trust me i asked around

Not a thing

God is perfect and even if I were given the chance to "play God" I wouldn't be close to be as perfect as He is. There is no other way or different way. His way is the perfect way and the only way.

God is creator ex-nihilo. This requires infinite power, infinite power requires eternal being therefore no created being is given a chance to "play God". Your question lacks meaning.

Okay let me preface this by saying I am a guy.

I would remove menopause.... After seeing what my partner is going through, I do not wish it on anyone.

Women having child birth to deal with is enough. As god I would give them a break on Menopause. After raising a family. They deserve the break.

I would probably destroy Satan if I could, but I think they are really equally powerful. Nature thrives on balance, and so without Evil to balance out Good, the universe would be ripped to shreds or something like that perhaps? Who really knows what consequences would follow, but would it really be worth the risk?

I'd have told Adam not to fret cause he was lonely. So God created a woman for him, now look at the mess we're in.
