Well my friend you've come to the right place. That age-old question is one that can't seem to be answered by any elders I've ever known, so I had to seek a deeper source for knowledge.
I found myself along the way, and I actually knew a lot more than I thought. Take for instance, has anyone ever came back from the dead and told you what it was like? Me neither. So why is hell supposed to be a place where everybody's in flames? Does that make heaven a place where everybody gets wings? Knock it off. Look around at this perfectly created planet, can you imagine not living here forever? This is our (human) earth, if you destroy it and the things in it on your quest through life you won't get to keep it. If you are constructive and prosporous you will flourish like plush foliage forever, even after death. Because, what actually happens after you die, no one alive can tell you. You have to find out at that time. I can just say that that is not the end of life. What is the meaning of life? Be brave, honest, and all that you want to. And most importantly, don't worry LIFE GOES ON!!

Means different things to different people. The vagueness of the query is inherent in the word "meaning", which opens the question to many interpretations, such as: "What is the origin of life?", "What is the nature of life (and of the universe in which we live)?", "What is the significance of life?", "What is valuable in life?", and "What is the purpose of, or in, (one's) life?". These questions have resulted in a wide range of competing answers and arguments, from scientific theories, to philosophical, theological, and spiritual explanations.

To leave the world a better place than you found it. There is a Jewish concept, "tikkun olam," or heal the world. For other religions there are similar concepts. Have a peaceful soul, act with a good purpose, love others, take whatever tack you want. I think it all boils down to trying to make the world a better place with whatever skill set you have.
