Wow, you are the first person expressing what I have been feeling all of my life. I have been diagnosed as being bi-polar. I too am very creative musically. The only thing that really helps me is medication and by smoking pot. Unfortunately if I dont do these things, life is just blah for me. Seek professional help and seek a good couselor. All of the above has worked for me.

It could be. OR it could mean there is a chemical imbalance in your body. I have diabetes. When my sugar level gets too low I get angry and combative. Other people it effects differently. My Mother-in-law had low (Darn! I'm getting old, I can't remember the name) what ever the stuff that is in bananas. She appeared drunk when it got too low.
I suggest you talk it over with your Doctor and have some tests run. It may be something simple. Being raped doesn't help it can help compound the problem. Does your "mum" or Doctor know you were raped? If not it really hurts to keep the hurt inside. Talk it over with a health care professional or your clergyman.

This is probably a depressive episode. You should seek help. Right now, I think you should focus on things that make you happier..for example hang out with friends..see a movie you have been eyeing or eat your favorite food. Also, exercising can help relieve some symptoms of sadness. But, maybe it does have to do with your feelings about the rape years ago. It would be good to talk to a therapist who specializes in that field confidentially.

sounds like depression to me. Go see your family physician, and ask for a referral to a mental health clinic. It is possible with the help of some medications your mood swings wouldn't be so wild. What you are going through is not normal -- nor is it because you are creative. You probably have a chemical imbalance in your brain (which is what causes depression).
Please go see a doctor.

i think you sound like you may have a depressive disorder. luckily, this is one mental illness that can be easily treated. i would suggest that you discuss your symptoms with either your family doctor or a psychiatrist. there are many medications available to help ease your symptoms. also, therapy is a great way to get the emotions out there and learn about how to deal with what happened to you. being raped is a horrid experience that no one should ever have to go through. but, there is hope. please, get help

Jesus is the answer! He can take all of those feelings away and make you a new person. He gives you a choice...it's my way or the by-way. You have to choose him. If you confess your sins and ask the Lord to come into your life you can be saved and one day go to be with the Lord.
You must admit your sins, Believe in Jesus and choose to have him in your life today.

I'm so sorry you were violated. Your current feels could very well have a lot to do with this experience, or it could just be that you have a chemical imbalance (depression or anxiety). It sounds like clinical depression or traumatic stress disorder. Please see a doctor, this can be treated! You'll feel a whole lot better.

I have a family history of mental disease both bipolar (feeling sad n then happy, or angry then happy) and schizophrenia. I personally have never been diagnosed but my background is like yours. I was raped, and felt desperate and unhappy often, although life was good!
Whatever was in your past, you must learn to let go. This is a big big part in getting over how you feel. If you have negative emotions you don't get rid of, you will never get past those times when you are depressed, because something, in the back of your mind, is still upsetting you.
How did I let it go?
As waaaaay to nice as it sounds, I forgave the person. (although not to their face, just in my heart)
Because anyone who rapes people, has waaaay more problems than you or me.
So then, how to fix these feelings right?
Well you want to start off slowly and not go right to the Prozac!
1. When you feel depressed you must realize it as soon as it starts!
2. Then do something about it.
DON'T go sit in your room, in the dark and listen to sad songs and cry. This is what you'll want to do. And you might not feel like you can't physically do something else. But you can.
Soooo.... GET UP!!
And get out of the house! Go for a walk and draw something out in nature. Stay out of your house (where all your emotions tend to live) and do something! (Running or exercising will do WONDERS for you) don't believe me? try it? just for 2 weeks! You'll miss it and its positive effects when you stop!
So...You still feel depressed sometimes and skipping school or work isn't an option ?
This technique works for all types of sadness and depression and really helps!! As humans, we tend to let our brain stay focused on one thing, and we just can't stop thinking about it.
So everyday, say at 3:30 in the afternoon, (EVERYDAY!!) for 10 minutes think about your depression and what makes you depressed. Actually become depressed. But at 3:40, stop!
Only allow yourself 10 minutes per day, everyday, at the same time. See our emotions, chemically, cause our body to react to them like a drug. If you are angry all the time, then you can't just not be angry. Your body craves anger like a drug.
Thats why this 10 minute a day exercise is great for you. Because your body physically craves depression. So you have to slowly give it less and less until its not necessary! Just like an addict!
Another good one, and this will sound stupid. Tell yourself your happy, all day every day. Speaking this words out into the world will have great power, both for you and your subconscious. And start believing it! Your words are energy like a pebble in a lake! The ripples are endless and effect so much around them, even what you can't see!
Finally, friend, if you've tried working through it and nothing is working. Go see a psychiatrist or psychologist you can talk to about it.
And if you don't like the way they treat you, talk to you, or perceive you. LEAVE! and go to another, and another till you find one that makes you feel comfortable and understands you! If money is a problem, there are places in most cities where you can go for 10 bucks! Provided to you by the city!
Sometimes it helps to have someone to talk to!
And finally, DON'T TAKE ANTIDEPRESSANTS UNLESS YOU'VE THOUGHT ABOUT IT AND HONESTLY THINK IT IS YOUR LAST RESORT.
Any medicine will be hard for you to ever come off of! For the rest of your life. Once you start taking it, your mind and body are used to it and feel like they need it.
Then you will always be dependent on a pill. And medicines taken for your life can eventually cause health problems! I only know and say this because I see it in the 3 out of 4 members of my family.
So try to work through everything first. This depression might be very fixable on your own. I am working through mine on my own!!! And it takes time, so be patient and HAPPY!!! Remember, YOU CONTROL YOUR BRAIN!
