I would NEVER cheat on my girlfriend. And I never do anything outside of: smiles, compliments, and ambiguous checking out.
But, would you consider what I'm doing “bad”?

OK, I feel I should add that I compliment my GF more than any. With her it's more than flirt. I keep my queen very happy!

It is human nature, if you see a hot girl walking buy, you can't help but looking, as long as you don't act by making out, buying a drink/going out on a date or anything like that, you should be ok.
I have had friends in the past who believe any conversation/flirting/anything like that is considered cheating, but most girls would consider hooking up with that girl behind their back to be cheating. I've seen my boyfriend check out girls, and I'll usually tell him, hey she's cute...what ever, but I know he's mine so I have no fear. If she trusts you then she will probably be fine, just don't do anything to break that trust.

I guess that would depend on how your girlfriend feels. Some women do not seem to mind. However, to many women that behavior can be seen as offensive and harmful. Also, do not forget to take into account the feelings of the women you are flirting with. They may mistake your innocent flirting for something more serious.

YES!!!! A girl wants to be reassured that you are hers and not anyone else’s. If flirt with another girl, she will act out. How would you feel if she started flirting with other guys? See, a lot of men (I am not saying every guy in the world, but a lot of them) only care about one thing about girls. And girls know that. So when you flirt with another girl, she thinks that you are losing interest in yall's relationship. It is ok to be polite to a girl, but don't make it a habit to flirt, smile, or check out ever pretty girl you see.

I wouldn't consider it bad, but you got to think about it, how would you like her doing that to you? If you would never cheat on her flirting and looking at other girls might lead to you doing that some day, I mean why else would you if you were happy with her and the way she looks. Cause if I knew my B/F was doing that behind my back I'd be pissed!!

Has anyone ever mentioned to you that it is human nature to look at people..whether you are married have a girlfriend so long as it goe's no further than just smiling or complimenting someone just think you are making someone's day with those actions and they are harmless.

It's not bad to smile, give compliments, or to be friendly. Just don't lead a girl on. It will get you into trouble both with said girl and your girlfriend.

It's fine if you don't drool over another girl in front of your girlfriend. If your girlfriend hasn't told you that this is a major issue to her, then there's really no problem. Just continue to be a committed boyfriend and respect her. Just chill, your human!

Depends on if you do it in front of your girlfriend and it depends further on whether those with whom you are flirting and complimenting know that you have no intention of taking it further. If the answers are "yes" and "no" then - yep - you are in the wrong.

Nope, you're human. She probably flirts and smiles at men too. Just know where to draw the line and you're good!
