Do you think it is at all degrading to market Christianity's beliefs in T-Shirts, bumper stickers, etc? It is interesting at how prolific these types of items are becoming. Is it appropriate or somewhat silly?

It's great from a business/marketing stand point. These people saw an opportunity and grabbed it. I only wish I had thought to exploit millions of Christians in such a way and I'd be rich!

And if people think they need to buy a "Jesus Love Me" shirt - then so be it - they can buy all the shirts they want, but it's not going to make them better Christians and it will not make god love them more than anyone else on the planet. And it's not going to help them recruit members to their church.

It's not about spreading the good word - it's about making money and that is all. To think any differently would be very ignorant.

I just though of a great idea for a new Christian, Inc. t-shirt, though.

"My god is better than your god." LOL

I should start my own t-shirt company.

Well obviously the Bible ain't selling so well any more. I'm just waiting for some media buyer to make an offer for the space on my bald head.
Who's behind it all? Benny Hinn, Billy Graham, Pat Roberts? All multi millionaire Evangelists.
Or perhaps it's a Jewish consortium who know how vulnerable and stupid Christians are.
By the way they are not beliefs. Every time i have spoken to Christians they emphasise "The Truth" in Christianity.
Frightening!
Anyway I'm off for a session at the keyboard. I have some work to do.
I'm designing an Atheist Tee shirt. Like the "Kings Clothes".
Only a fool can not see it even though i wont be wearing anything.
Bit like Christianity and the other in doctrines. Including Islam etc.
Take Care. Remember get as much joy from every day.BC

There are at least 45,000 Protestant churches in the U.S.

What caused all these different beliefs if the MESSAGE is so clear?

What makes you believe that you have more than a 1 in 45,000 chance of being in the 'correct' church?

Did Jesus give up Saturday for us?

Jesus? Christianity? .

If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.

Gods do not die? Do they?

If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?

If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.

If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!

As long as they stick to the more sellable messages, their business plan should pan out. But I would worry if they started showing New Testament blurbs like "I bring a sword.." or "Hate your father..." and things of that nature. The marketing guys have to stay on top of the game. As they say in the business, virtue is money, and vice versa.

No, I dont think so. I think it is great that people spread The Word in many different ways without speaking. I think it's great. And think of how many people see people's cars and bumper stickers everyday.

It depends on how it is used and where the profit goes. I would much rather buy one of those shirts and see the money go to the poor then buy a Nike shirt for example and go into the pockets of the wealthy.

It really depends upon how you use it. Putting a "fish" on your car and then plugging in your radar detector or driving like an idiot is a lousy witness.

However, some of us use these items as tools to start discussions. In those cases, it really does work well.

christianity has been a buisness since the day it started. its only until recently people have wanted to mass market it.

i am indifferent to it. I do however think that non christian groups should do the same thing, to show that we do exist and that there are other religions besides the ABrahamic three.

Most people dont make thier own religious choices. They are engrained in thier head at a very young age from whatever it is thier parents believe. This is why it is all crap.
