Regular salt is a finer grain, processed and usually iodized. Kosher salt is often confused with sea salt. Both are a heavier (bigger) grain than table salt. Gray salt is a sea salt from (darn, I forgot what section of the world) that takes on a gray or darker color due to the area of the world it comes from.
Hope this helps.

answer: besides being under a stricter guideline and inspection - kosher salt is larger and coarser than your usual table salt. That makes it perfect for coating meats and fish in some ways of cooking and for other culinary uses. It's like the difference in not using table salt in ice cream machines, you want rock salt. I'll let my Jewish friends explain Kosher a little better.

Regular salt is blessed by the public, Kosher salt is blessed by a rabbi, and Gray salt is blessed by a priest.
And "Sea" salt is blessed by all the fishes of the sea.
