Gail's Slow Cooked Red Ribs
INGREDIENTS:
3/4 cup hoisin sauce
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons dry sherry
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon honey
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ground allspice
2 teaspoons grated orange peel
1 small hot red chile pepper, seeded and crumbled, or about 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1 bunch green onions, about 6 to 8, sliced, with green
2 to 3 pounds boneless country style pork ribs, trimmed
PREPARATION:
In a small bowl, mix together the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sherry, ginger, honey, garlic, allspice, orange peel, and red chile pepper. Place 1/3 of the green onions in a 3 1/2- to 5-quart slow cooker. Top with some of the pork ribs and spoon some of the sauce on the meat. Repeat these layers 2 more times, ending with the remaining sauce. Cover and cook on low 9 to 10 hours, or until tender. Serves 6.

I've tried this recipe and it's REALLY good & easy too.

What you need:

3 1/2 pounds pork loin back ribs
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3 tablespoons liquid smoke
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1 medium onion, sliced
1/2 cup cola
1 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
What you do:

Spray inside of 4 to 5 quart slow cooker with cooking spray.
Remove inner skin from ribs. Cut ribs into 4-inch pieces. Mix brown sugar, pepper, liquid smoke, garlic and salt; rub mixture into ribs. Layer ribs and onion in slow cooker. Pour cola over ribs.
Cover and cook on low for 8 to 9 hours or until tender. Remove ribs from slow cooker. Drain and discard liquid.
Heat coals or gas grill. Place ribs on grill. Brush with barbecue
sauce. Cover and grill 4 to 6 inches from medium heat for 15 minutes. (You can broil in the oven if you don't want to use a grill)

Serves 6

Note: I have used Sweet Baby Ray's Honey Barbecue Sauce and Bullseye Honey Barbecue Sauce and added a bit (couple tsps) of Redhot sauce.

Best recipe ever - Ribs, one jar of Heinz Chili sauce, one can regular cola. The longer it cooks the better.
