Hello,

my name is Martin and I am studying economics in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. During my holidays I would like to know the English culture and people in a better way. So I thought, it might be a good idea to ask you for help.
I really would like to live 2 month (August till October) in an original English family or household.
May be I we can exchange our language skills, ideas and have a great time.

Looking forward to your answers.

I am from Germany and studied there at university, too. I would be very surprised if your uni didn't have an exchange program with partner universities in England. This way you probably wouldn't be living in an English family but if you lived in a dorm with other students, that would probably be okay, too, wouldn't it? Also, I am quite positive that Frankfurt University has an exchange program that would enable you to live in England for one semester (I don't know how much under time pressure you are with getting your Scheine and your Zwischendiplom / Diplom.
Have a look at this link:

Hope this helped....

Okay, I live in England but one word of advise, we are not all nice! lol
I would not say this on the Internet as you may not meet nice, genuine people.
Perhaps you could consider asking your teacher or family members to help you sort something out, via an agency. This would enable it all to be done properly with you feeling safe to come to an unknown country, Don't be put off, I would love to do an exchange and plan on it, but think you should go about it the right way hun.
Good luck with your studies, and best of luck for the future.x

Besides an agency, which I would much recommend over this method, you could find a job with a temporary agency in London or wherever you want to live. Maybe you could get a tourguide job speaking german. Go and live there and enjoy it. England is wonderful, but like becky says, not everyone is nice.
