i am a mom of a 14 ,11 & 8 yr. i am open minded & willing to nagotiate with my kids. my 14 year old is interested in a boy & is now dating him openly. they barley talk, i think it is because i am ok with it cuz i know about them, they are not sneaking around cuz she is home all the time. i tell my kids as long as i know they are dating then i am ok, what can i do i cant tie her up forever , besides it is enevidable, hormones kik in as early as 9 years old sometimes, what can you say. relationships are wonderful & you learn alot about yourself & the other person, if it makes you happy then why not, when you dont like them you will dump the whole thing anyhow. show this to mom maybe she can change her mind. if she is open & accepted of it, she can monitor your relationship & know your whereabouts. after all we are in the age of the cell phone or GPS. we all know where we are now adays. good luck, i hope it works out. if mom is open then maybe you will also wait to have a deeper relationship when you are much older & ready for it.

This is a tough question. It depends on you and your maturity. When I was 13, I had my first g/f. She was also 13. The dates were mainly movies, dinners, and always had the parents take us everywhere. So; in these times - 13 is fine, but I would say that 16 is better. Enjoy life.

ur actually not 2 young 2 date,as long as ur mature than u can go out and date, just dont make any stupid choices ya kno. Also, pick a guy that can relate 2 u and also the youngest age 2 date is 10,and thats when us teenagers and 5th graders start 2 date anyway,so there is really no such thing as 2 young unless its 9 and under.I look at young as old and old as old, lol. To me,age ain't nothin but a number.
~Hope i gave u luck

You're too young. Dating this young would only mess it up for you later. You'll end up barefoot and pregnant before you know it. Find out who you are first. Get established in a career. Become Miss America. Then I'll think about dating you.

16 (thats how old i am)
It's a good age because you have your permit and have more responsibilities. Also you're towards the middle of your high school years so you should be mature enough and most of your friends prob started about that time so you can group date if u want

You need to be concerned more about how mature do you need to be before dating. Age can cause problems if you're not able to be responsible for your actions as a teenager. You should be trying to complete your education without thinking about how soon you can start steering toward trouble.

you should be at least 15 years of age to date. thirteen is too young unless you are chaperoned by your parent or if you have an older sibling. also your parents or caregiver should know the person that you are going out with plus where he lives and have appropriate phone numbers. this might sound harsh though i raised my daughter the same way as my brother watched over me.........

Dating someone means you are drawn to the other person, but how far you need to go is your own choice, just remember there are consequences to everything. You're a big girl now, you know what I'm talking about.
