It's legal to use if you use PRO or the free version.

It's not legal to use it to download or share copyrighted materials without the permission of the copyright holder.

it is legal even if you use the free verison of limewire. it says its not illegal in the restrictions. if you read it only says its illegal if you cell the copyrighted material. imagine how much people would already of been caught and arrested. millions of people do it everyday. just dont let a cop into your home and you will be fine. you prolly made it worse as you asked that question in here. so ya dont worry. check the restricitons for your self.

No, you can't download copyrighted materials for free. That is illegal. Even if you pay for the P2P software, the files you download are still required to be paid for.

my understanding is that limewire exists to share legal materials... technically, you are only supposed to download those that have the license symbol there... so if it doesnt, which most of it doesnt, then it is illegal

dling anything that is copyrighted and not paying the author is illegal even if u payed for limewire its still illegal to dl copyrighted stuff
