Wow, that is really strange...... I would tell my sister just because I love my two niece's and I would never forgive myself if I could have done anything to prevent an accident! I'm a twin and once when we where teenagers I had a dream of her getting bitten by a spider on her left breast and a week later she had a lump removed from that breast. It could have just been a coincidence but you never know!!!!!!!!!!!!.....She is doing great today and that happened 20 years ago. Like they say "one once of prevention is worth a pound of cure".....smile

I think if the dreams you have tend to come true then you should tell her about it. If they don't then your just like the rest of us and your dreams have meaning only to you. In other words you may have something in your life that this dream is symbolic of. Try keeping a dream journal so that you can go over the dreams that you have at a later time when a little perspective may lend them meaning. You may find over time that you begin to understand the messages that your subconscious is trying to deliver.
Drowning as a dream symbol usually refers to drastic change or in my case a need for change (rebirth.) You may be reacting to changes in your nieces life that are coming up or have happened recently.
I have had dreams about drowning on a few of the pivotal points in my life. Often they have heralded a change in the status of the deepest relationships in my life.
Don't be afraid. Dreams are an awesome gift that can help you and those you love see the world in a better light.

Tell your sister that you are concerned with your neice and that you keep dreaming of her drowning. She'll listen.

why would you tell your sister? A dream is a dream is a dream, NOT reality. You are still upset about your dad, you should try a little counseling and your dreams will improve

No. Dreams about death are extremely common, expecially after losing someone that you love. It's truly unnecessary to frighten or depress your sister with this.

What would telling her hurt? You obviously feel the need to so follow your heart and tell her.

No I would not say anything. Do not look like the fool who does and nothing happens. I believe it is just paranoia

I have heard that when you dream of someone, it simply means that you are concerned about that person subconsciously.

I would, right now. Just telling her about it may prevent a disaster. If you don't, and something did happen, you will never forgive your self!!
