I have a hard time tolerating those arrogant, santimonious snots who walk around with a superiority complex because they have made a choice not to eat meat for "ethical" reasons and love to tell people about how great they are. There is no issue with people who do it for religious or health reasons....it's those that make themselves to be better than the average person becuase they don't practice 'cruelity'. To me, killing and eating the flesh of animals and fishes is perfectly natural and what I was meant to do.
I think that these people represent more than anything else what is wrong with Western Civilisation: we have become soft, whining wimps through too much comfort.

Well, despise is a strong word. But I pretty much feel the same way (not only about them, but about a particular organization that will, of course, remain nameless). I understand where they're coming from, I guess, but the holier-than-thou thing kills it for me. Make your own choices, great, but... do you. Let me handle myself. I definitely understand how you feel.

Just keep in mind not all ethical Vegetarians and Vegans are this way. You have probably just had the bad luck of meeting several of them; I know they exist. Perhaps they are not as concerned about the animals as they are, as you say, about heightening their own status through some kind of invented martyrism.

In my mind, there is nothing wrong with eating fish or animals. However, the conditions we keep animals in and how we kill them are pretty deplorable. But sadly, not deplorable enough for me not to have eaten bacon for lunch :P

It is not wrong of you to be put off by these people, but don't confuse their behaviour with their dietary habits.

They are acting like a bunch of judgemental arrogant jerks because they think they are right and others are wrong. That's the 'sin' if you will. Many people who chose not to eat meat are just fine and that cool. It's the "judgement" part that is evil.

To me, people who inflict their belief system on others, and then act superior or all-knowing, are wrong. The best thing is to know what you believe, and act on it, and only discuss it when asked - and only if you want to.

This would include vegans, carnivores, and especially "christians" who spew hatred, bigotry, homophobia and discrimination. WWJD?

Just leave them alone. It's their own choice.
This pun is perfect, but it's all about their own beef with animal products. Leave them to their misery. And hey, more steak for us meat eaters.

Do you want we respect your opinion? Then respect others. Each one has the right to think freely.

No!

I hate them too! I work with a girl that always has to comment on what others eat and she has anti-meat bumper stickers on her car and she has a t-shirt with a little piglet that sez "Please don't eat me!".
She goes to meetings and pickets in front of KFC. This is some kind of cult if you ask me and they all smell cuz they don't use deodorant.
