I told a few big lies to my girlfriend, and then i fell in love with her. I am afraid that if i tell her i lied, that she will break up with me. How can i go about telling her that i lied without her thinking that i am a huge jerk, even though i am. I really regret my lies, and now i am trying to correct the situation. How can i tell her without her breaking up with me?

They are BIG lies, about me, my life, and my family. Before i loved her, i was ashamed of these things in my life. Now that i love her, i want her to know, but i regret that i ever told her the lies.......

It seems to me as though you had some sort of insecurities when you were telling these lies. How big are these lies? If they are huge lies, well, then you very well might have already dug yourself into a hole which you cannot get yourself out of. The only real thing that you can do at the moment is to just tell her the truth, and try and show that you are sorry. Do not try and hug/kiss her after you tell her, because she will withdraw. You must give her time to think about her feelings toward you, and then whether or not she is willing to forgive you. During this process, which can take any amount of time, you must appologize to her in various ways. Show her that even though you lied, you truly love her, and you should even tell her why you told her the lies. She may actually understand and be more willing to forgive you. What you must do is to tell her immediately before anything goes any further.

You need to tell the truth now. There is nothing you can do to stop her from breaking up with you, that is her choice based on what she thinks about the lies you told.

Accept responsibility for your lies, ask for forgiveness, and hope for the best. You can't control other people's feelings or actions. If she dumps you, then you have learned an important life lesson about honesty in relationships. The next time you go out with someone, be honest up front.

First thing that you have to do is sit done and talk to her. Tell her that she means everything to you and that there is no one else like her. But don't kiss her (it will only make things worse). Then tell her that you have something important to tell her. Be honest. Tell her that you really regret what you said and you are terribly sorry. If she doesn't talk to you for a few days, don't get too worried. Give her some time and do everything you can to make up for what you did. Let her cool off and be yourself. Tell her how you feel about her and that you will never do it again.

first thing, a relationship is based on trust and if u don't trust her enough to tell her the truth, then why are you with her. she needs to know the truth which is you lied. tell her what she really needs to know and thats the truth. if u go on with the relationship without telling her the truth, it will come back to haunt to coz what goes around comes around. tell her exactly how u feel about everything. if she still wants to be with u after u tell her, then she loves u, but if she doesn't, it's ur fault, but at least u were honest enough to tell her and she's not the one for u.

well it depends on the lies,,, but i suggest you and her get somewhere very romantic, talk to her a little, let her know how much you love and care about her,, then slowly remind her of the lies,, then with a little smile(not too much) jus say,, baby it was a lie. but also promise her you won't let it happen again.

It all depends on what the lies are. But I know that the longer you wait, the worse it will get if you don;t tell her. If she loves you, she will understand.

Whatever you do, don't take her on Jerry Springer.

Tell her the truth as soon as possible. She might break up with you but at least this way everything will be out in the open.

oh wait, I saw this movie.

first she blows it all out proportion, then dumps you and starts dating this incredibly better guy. you have to go for an all-night walk in the rain. you might be a stalker and get thrown out of someplace. then just as she's about to get married, you pound on the glass and yell her name, and you run out of the church together.
