secure the borders (both) then begin a systematic deportation process in tandem with strict fines and possible revocation of business licenses for employers who are not properly validating perspective employee work status.
I am in line with 77% of Americans who support the house on enforcement. Just as before...Amnesty will not work. It has been tried and it is in part responsible for the national domestic crisis that America is facing now.
Mexico is NOT doing enough. They are actually encouraging this behavior in a big way. The Mexican government seems in way over their heads. I do not believe there is any thing the Mexican government can do to clean up the corruption that has brought that country to it's knees short of bringing in the U.N. I am surprised that the people of Mexico have yet to organize a labor strike in their own country.

I think the easiest and most painless solution is amnesty. And he is right, Mexico wants illegals to migrate here, and to send US dollars back to Mexico's economy!!! For them its a win win situation.
The reason amnesty is the best solution is this....
The problem lies with the American government. Ask yourself this, say the government did shut down all the borders and deported all illegals. Do you realize what the cost of that would be? Who will pay for it. The American tax payer, of course. And contrary to what has been said, not all illegals are here leaching off the system, they used to but its getting tougher. Before social services or schools never asked proof of citizenship or a social security number. Now they require that. To even get a drivers license you must show a social.
Aliens provide cheap labor for goods and services. If you want to see real inflation, get rid of all the illegals. That will create a shortage of workers forcing wages to go up, the loss of cheap labor, will consequently raise the price of everything. YOUR taxes, most goods and services will increase. Are you willing to pay much more money to live in this country?
The government doesn't want to do anything, why, it would just cause too much havoc, instead of moaning about illegals, everyone will be crying about how expensive it is too live here. You have to look at the real picture, the whole picture.....I hope you get the PICTURE?

I feel that anyone who wants to live here should have the proper documents and tests before being declaired a citizen. Some of the coolest people I have ever met came from Mexico or Russia and they ALL went through the legal process and were granted citizenship. I feel that this problem has been blown out of proportion because of some seriously hippocratic government poles. The people who live here illegally don't even steal jobs that we want, they do the things we don't want to. Plus, the average American teen to twenty-something have really bad work ethic; while the illegal immigrants seem to know how to make the most of time and work their a$$es off.
I think the REAL issue is America's laziness....

Solving illegal immigration is very easy. All you have to do is give ridiculous fines to the businesses who employ illegal immigration. $100,000 for the first offense, $500,000 for second, $1 million for the third, etc. I would set up a special task force to enforce it, and give a $10,000 to a member for each business cited and fined. This would no longer make illegal immigrants cheap labor, thus there would be no jobs for them, thus no more illegal immigrants.
This solution is not pursued because it is bad for big business. The whole hard-working, doing jobs Americans won't do, bad for businesses that rely on them, will keep prices down argument sounds an awful like the same argument used for slavery. We should not use terrible working standards to support our county.
This is not a problem anyone wants to solve, but it distracts from other flaws of this administration. It is unfortunate, because the influx of illegal immigration and the threat of global terrorism could combine to form a disaster.

So many questions.....let me see.
Enforcement and amnesty need to go hand in hand. We need to secure the borders, screen the illegals, and grant amnesty and stop ANY further flow. WHY am I for amnesty.....because NONE of you have given me anything logical or better.
It is not going to be cheap or easy to line up 12 million people and with that....what makes you think they are going to say OK....we'll go. A massive deportation will lead to chaos and horrible ramifications in my eyes.....UNLESS.....someone has a REALLY good idea that doesn't include SHOOTING a human being.
Mexico....hmm....this is a tuffie for me.......I read an article once that said that "illegals" accounted for billions of dollars being sent home. Why would they want to help or stop a CASHCOW. The obviously have inept and corrupt leaders.....if we intend to BE friendly neighbors.....this needs to be addressed.
To end......I hold employers as responsible if not more. To use a metaphor.....If the apple wasn't hanging on the tree looking so good and juicy.....why would I jump the fence that holds the mean Bull......to grab that apple. We need strict fines and/or jail time.....the first time one gets caught. Lets send a message!
Reality Rocks!

He is notorious for creating the problem we have when it became out of control after he was elected. He has not honored any of his promises to help with the situation.
Something that all you mention doesn't sit right. You all agree that anyone can come here legally without giving consideration to the effect of the needs of the country. If the border opens, 50 million are ready to come over legally. Is that a good thing?

No amnesty for those who originally broke the law...but maybe for their children who were born here. Then there is a problem with seperating the family----so either the whole family goes, or the whole family becomes citizens...and within a specified time.
For those without families....bye bye birdie.
You are welcome to come back when you can oblige the law. People who come here illegally have no interest in becoming American citizens, otherwise they would...and they would speak the language. They are only interested in exploiting our economy, taking advantage of social programs, etc....and those types can just get out. Close the border if you have to for now, patrol it, have serious sanctions for those who disobey the law....we could borrow from Mexican law, who would kick out an illegal immigrant without thinking twice.

Monitoring the borders (both of them) closely will assist in stemming the volume, and in some way enhance security. Pressuring employers with real penalties for hiring illegals on this side. A guest worker program may even benefit Mexicans for example, as they would be in the system, and employers should indeed pay "American sized" wages to anyone working to give them "American sized " profits. The Canadian standard of living is much closer to ours, so it does not play out in the same manner up North.

Okay, I will say it again, give the illegals 30 days to get out or border patrol and INS agents will shoot them on site. We would only have to shoot a couple and the word would get out and they would go home. Just a couple. Didn't say we had to kill them, and we did give them 30 days to get out.
Then, stop the welfare program, tell all those legal citizens on it that there are an abundance of jobs available now. The willing will work, the rest will die. Fittest survive.
I am not racist, though I know most of you are going to claim it. My mom raised us on welfare, so don't tell me that I don't know what I am talking about. I grew up six miles from Mexicalli, Mexico in El Centro, CA so don't tell me I don't know any Mexicans. This isn't about Mexicans, it's about criminals that break into our country. After all, if I caught someone in my house who had broken in, I do legally have the right to shoot them!
Feel free to email me if you want to comment on my comment, email address is available.

If it were possible for people to come here legally they wouldn't have to come over illegally. The laws need to be changed to make it possible for people to immigrate. Amnesty has to be given because it is impossible to round up all the illegals. It would also be a complete devastation to our economy. We are a country of immigrants none of us would be here if our forefathers were treated the same way we are treating Mexican immigrants today.
