Satan is not deity, he's a fallen angel. However, he does consider himself equal with God, though he isn't.
God will permanently remove Satan from accessing humans after his purpose is fulfilled. The bible is full of scriptures that address this subject, but I don't have mine with me at the moment.
What the Lord wants more than anything is real relationship with His people. True worship is the result of a close relationship with Jesus, not an act of servility.

All of creation belongs to God. Satan has tried to steal this part of it. God could just destroy Satan, but if He did that then He would have to destroy us also, and besides, if He does not let Satan carry out his evil plan, then the rest of creation, angels, other worlds, &c would not worship God out of love. Which is what God ultimately wants.

Satan is not a god. There is only one god - God himself.
Your question: "why can't god just destroy him so that this world would spend more time worshipping ?" I think this is one of the mysteries of the Bible and it's really not my business.

God created man and he asked the angels to bow infront of Adam and they did except one.......Satan
he said that he is better than man and so wont bow
as God was to punish him he said that he can prove that he is better and he will corrupt the hearts of men and turn them towards evil
God said let be it and only those who are weak hearted will fall to ur plans and those who do will rest in hell along with u
So now Satan has time till End of this world to do what he wants to and take as much people to bad side as he can and they all along with Satan will rest in hell after the end of this world

All in good time. Satan will be destroyed in the end. But we need opposition to test our faith and we need the choice between good and evil. If God gave us a free ride, there would be no point to anything and we wouldn't learn anything. God doesn't want worship, he wants us to have what he has, but we need to prove to him and to ourselves that we can handle His power.

God doesn't necessarily want us to worship him as much as he just wants us to return to him. If God wanted to, he could instantly destroy Satan. We are on the Earth to be tested and without evil there would be no good. Without good and evil there will be no reason to be tested thus no reason to be here on the Earth.

If the bible was even close to being the truth, Jesus is Satan.
According to the book of mythology, God and Satan are competing for human souls. Christians worship his "son," who is really Satan. God doesn't have a "son."
Fortunately for Christians, the bible is a book of mythology.

First off, im an atheist but...
It is said that God doesn't reveal himself and doesn't get rid of the devil because our lives are designed to be a test of our faith. If you pass congratulations, you got into heaven. If you fail or either go to hell or start over. Obvioulsy, the test would become null if the devil was eliminated and god were to reveal himself.

That is a good question. I'm a Christian, but I'm not sure why God dosen't destroy Satan! If I were Him I would! I guess I'd better read my Bible more!

God is the creator. Satan is a fallen creation. Just because Satan's isn't destroyed yet doesn't mean he won't be. His days are numbered and his future is in damnation in hell.
