I will:

Spain: Language is well worth knowing, nice climate, nice people, delicious food, various countryside. Watch the nice spanish movies - you'll get an impression.

Italy: Nice climate, nice people - watch out tho, they trick you for a penny, best food in world! nice countryside, beautiful people and clothes. Watch the movies from Italy: MyhouseinUmbria, all the movies from Tuscany...

Germany: Also a nice country, rich food, ok language, ok people.

Netherlands: they speak english very well, odd language - cannot be used everywhere..., redlight district, legal to do drugs, small country - easy to get around.

Norway: interesting language, but cannot use around, beautiful countryside, ok people, you can study welfare on close range. Land of midnight sun = sun 24 hours pr day in summer, winter = not much sun at all - maybe daylight 3 hours pr day in december depending on where in country you are. Remember it is not a COLD country although it is north of the polar circle due to the Golf Stream. That would be an interesting experience tho to live there. Vikings.

Can't give you advice on all of them. They use the euro...which is worth more than the dollar so you won't feel "rich" like you would if you went somewhere like Mexico. Italy is nice and most people speak English. You have the main tourist areas where everyone speaks English. The history is incredible. Outside of the touristy areas is very quaint and people are more polite. Transportation is really pretty cheap and absolutely simple.

Spain is nice. It's hot (it's where I live now). The culture is more relaxed...coffee breaks and friends are more important than the stress of work-related responsibilities. But, the history is incredible here too. There are moutains for camping and hiking and beach nearby everywhere...The people don't seem quite as nice as those in Italy. The public transportation is a little more expensive.

Germany is pretty good. Beautiful country (i like the mountains).

Won't be in the Netherlands until September so I can't tell you yet...and have't been to Norway.

I think it depends on what you want to do while you're in Europe. If I were a young person, I would choose Germany. The language isn't the best for the future (I'm from America where Spanish is most beneficial). However, the travel is so much cheaper from there. There are planes or trains from everywhere in Europe into Frankfurt or one of the other main cities. But, that's me because I like to travel.

Good luck!

Seville, Spain is an absolutely beautiful city. Lot's to do, beautiful scenery. The country is quite big so you will need to decide where in the country you want to go. Madrid is not the friendliest city. The Netherlands is nice depending on where you are. Beautiful country side, Amsterdam is kind of dirty but nice people. Germany is also beautiful, good food, friendly people. Italy is beautiful lot's of history, lot's to see. Don't know much about Norway.
As far as which languages are more useful - they speak a different language in each country you listed so you Dutch, German, Italian and Spanish would be useful. They are all part of the EU so they all use the same currency (I believe Norway is part of the EU but again, don't know a lot about it)
You really need to elaborate on what you are looking to do for a more clear response.

Norway:
Pros - Higher standard of living and so it's clean and beautiful.
Cons - If you aren't white with blonde hair, everyone will immediately know you're a tourist.

Netherlands:
Pros - Weed is legal.
Cons - Weed is legal.

Germany:
Pros - It's a beautiful country even though it maintains its ancient look.
Cons - Even though most people speak English, they pretend like they don't. And the language doesn't sound too nice.

Italy:
Pros - (For women) The men really LOVE women and it's the fashion center of the world.
(For men) Hot women with lovely accents.
Cons - Italian cities have the 'old look' going on.

Spain:
Pros - Beautiful.
Cons - The region is quite rocky and quite hot. You can leave with sun burns.

That depends on how well you feel you may adapt to the differences in culture. If you are not comfortable with a stifiling religious life style, avoid Spain. The Netherlands and Norway are more like the USA, assuming you are from the USA. For the greatest variety of food and culture, it is hands down Italy. Oh yeah, Italy, Food for life and live for the food. It's all about the food!!!

All of these countries are basically peaceful countries with rich history and beautiful countryside. The only negative would be the language differences really. Personally I would chose, if I had the choice, Italy.

Italy is beautiful. Warm, lovely history with old buildings and art. Friendly people, clean streets, cheap travel and services. Norway is a little boring and cold. Netherlands is flat, Germany is also nice, Spain is friendly, warm and cheap. Italy is the greatest I believe. I love Italy and travel there whenever I can.
