Characteristics of boxing include, competitiveness, strategy, physical fitness and mostly courage. People share and admire these skills, not only men. Many men have been involved in competive sports and can identify with the boxers' struggle to win even though there is a huge element of risk.

Well I am a woman and have been a boxing fan for years now. It's a great sport honestly. It's just two guys in the ring and that's it no team no nothing you just have to rely on yourself last of the true individual sports.

It is something about primal instinct and wanting to beat people up......
I personally do not care for boxing but have watched a lot of fights because of family or friends where I hang out......

we (men) get to live vicariously thru the boxers. Most people are useless in a real fight, but like to imagine if they weren't. Boxing provides an outlet for this imagination.

I like it because its one of the few sports that its just you and the other guy and you don't have to worry bout someone else screwing it up for you. i know the judges screw up sometimes but if you don't want it in the judges hands knock the other guy out. These are the same reasons that i like real wrestling and the UFC.

because it is a sport almost as good as UFC.and guys just like to see other guys get hit becase most guys know what its like to get hit so they can relate to what the guy in the ring is feeling.

i'm a sports fan in general.. but i like boxing because it is one of the best "individual" sports there is
the whole aspect of training.. fighting.. and analyzing each boxer is what draws me to it
it is a metaphor of life.. you watch the best fighter and you try to compare yourself to that person
