They become stronger because of the inbuilt 'fight or flight' response we all have when we feel endangered, or angry. When a person goes into fight mode an excess of adrenalin is pumped through the body making them seem suddenly stronger than they were.

Because it causes adrenaline to go threw your body .That is a chemical that tells your brain you are stronger.You truly are not physically stronger than you where.

It could be that they go into something called a fight or flight response where their body prepares to fight or run away by pumping adrenaline and preparing to use a large amount of energy.
