Blue Theme:
1) Blue Jello Cups w/blueberries (in clear cups or unmold)
2) Blue Cream Cheese on Celery (dye the cheese) or crackers.
3) Blue Cake (dye the white cake & icing) and then decorate
w/blue baby items.
OR
4) White cake - cook according to direction, cool, leave in 9x13
pan. Poke holes in cake - with either a fork or the handle of a
wooden spoon. Mix blue jello as directed (1/4 cup less water)
and then pour it on the cake. Let it completely set up in
refrigerator (you can then either leave in pan or carefully take
out and place on platter) and then top with Cool Whip.
Decorate.
5) Blue assorted candies in bowls (jelly beans, life savers, etc)
6) Blue Kool-Aid punch (kool-aid + sprite) or just dye the sprite.
7) Blue corn tortillas with dips
8) You can have a good bakery make you blue bread and then
fill the finger sandwiches with your favorite fillings.
9) Keep going - use your imagination - blue food dye can be
added to most 'white' food, so have fun!

You could order fried chicken from a local grocery store that has a deli, italian beef sandwiches is really easy to make for large crowds (season rump roast with salt, pepper, and some garlic. Put it in a crock pot for 6-8 hours). For finger sandwiches, we usually do tuna salad, ham/cheese, and turkey/cheese. Baked potato casserole is always a crowd pleaser for our family showers and goes well with both chicken and beef, as is grape salad. Add a green salad and some brown and rolls. For drinks, we usually do coffee, tea/sweat tea, and lemonade instead of pop, it is cheaper and is liked by everyone. Of course, there is always party punch, too! Since you are hosting, don't be afraid to ask family and friends to bring a dish with them! I have never been to a baby shower that wasn't pot luck, host provides meat and drinks, guests provide side dishes! Baked potato casserole 3 lbs red potatoes, diced and cooked until tender 1 cup miracle whip 1/2 block velveeta, cubed 1 jar hormel real bacon bits chives to garnish Put potatoes into large casserole, spread miracle whip on top of potatoes. Top with velveeta cubes, sprinkle on bacon, top with chives. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until cheese has melted. Delicious!! Grape Salad 2 pounds seedless green grapes 2 pounds seedless red grapes 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream 1/2 cup white sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 4 ounces chopped pecans 2 tablespoons brown sugar Wash and dry grapes. In a large bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sour cream, sugar and vanilla. Add grapes and mix until evenly incorporated. Sprinkle with brown sugar and pecans, mix again and refrigerate until serving. Old Fashioned Party Punch 1/2 gallon strawberry sherbet 2 (64 fluid ounce) bottles fruit punch 1 (2 liter) bottle lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage, chilled Place sherbet in punch bowl. Pour in fruit punch and lemon-lime soda. Mix and enjoy!

I always love making a pasta salad for a baby shower. Especially, since its summer. You can add whatever you'd like...tomatoes, olives, cukes, cheese, pepperoni...

These are cream puffs made out of Stella Dora
Anginetti Cookies. The recipe is also on the backside of the package of cookies. I make them for special occassions/holidays.
They are really delicious!
STELLA DORA ANGINETTI "STUFFED"
8 oz. pkg. softened cream cheese
1 can crushed pineapple, drained
4 oz. Cool Whip
2 pkgs. Stella Dora Anginetti's
Mix cream cheese and pineapple together. When mixed good, stir in Cool Whip. Blend all together. Cut Anginetti in half lengthwise and put about 1 teaspoon of filling in between both halves like a sandwich. Refrigerate to set overnight.

This is a fancy cheese-type spread appetizer served with crackers. Perfect for hungry crowds!
BACON AND TWO ONION CHEESECAKE
6 slices bacon,cooked - (diced )
1 large sweet onion (chopped)
1 clove garlic (minced)
2 cups (15 oz.) ricotta cheese
1/2 cup half-and-half
2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 eggs
2 green onions (thinly sliced)
Assorted Crackers for serving
Cook bacon until crisp in large skillet; remove to paper towels. When cool, dice into small pieces. Cook sweet onion and garlic in drippings until tender. Drain in strainer; discard bacon drippings. In bowl combine ricotta cheese, half-and-half, flour, salt and cayenne pepper; beat until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time; beat until smooth. Reserve 3 tablespoons bacon for garnish. Stir remaining bacon, sweet onion, garlic and green onions into ricotta mixture. Lightly grease sides of an 8-inch or 9-inch springform pan; pour batter into pan. Bake @ 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until set. Remove to wire cooling rack; cool to room temperature. Garnish with reserved bacon. Serve with assorted crackers,
Substitution: Vidalia-type sweet onions are particularly good in this recipe. If sweet onions are unavailable in your area, simply substitute yellow onions.
