I was in Catalina lasy year and had some luck casting rappalas from the shore into schools of bait fish being chased by barracuda, white sea bass and/or yellow tail. I landed and released a few sea bass (too small to keep), but lost at least one barrauda and other unknowns to snapped line. I am sure the cuda snapped the line with its teeth, as I did not have a metal leader. Can anyone tell me what line and tackle set-ups would work to land some of these this year? Thanks
