A cult is someone who is recreating the Bible to fit there persona.
What attracts people is that many are unstable and don't go directly to the Bible or church first.
They are looking for away, and without being grounded in real faith, they fall into what someone else tells them.(examples-Joseph Smith-The book of Mormon, Dan Brown-The Davinci code)
I believe that Islamic is growing because it does not have freedom of religion, people are told to believe and if they become a christian, they will be killed.
I do know however, that God will prevail in the end and only the non-believers will fall.

Whoa! there little missy! Just because a 'cult' or religion is not based on Biblical Scripture does not mean that it is not every bit as REAL as the scripture to which you ascribe!

There are hundreds of offshoot religions which draw in people simply BECAUSE they are not Bible based. Others which are based on a new and intriguing interpretation of the Bible.

My personal feelings is that the world is fast reaching for a more powerful spirituality like Science of Mind and even Dianetics.

Islam or Muslim - and a cult is any religion that denies the Deity of Jesus Christ as the only begotten son of God and the only means by which we have to the Father into heaven.

For years it was thought to be Catholicism and may still be as over the past 10 years they have held council to agree to accept Islam as a Christian faith and are meeting still to come to an agreement with Muslims to accept them as Christians.

You may be talking about the Mormans which are growing fast in the Americas. Worldwide, it is probably Islam.

It actually appears to me like people worldwide are becoming less religious. Take China for example.

A cult has attractive aspects to it that attract, normally, needy people or those that are desperate.

Harry Krishna? What ever happened to the Moonies. Are they still around?

The Mormons will take over the Catholic Church by 2080. Catholic rules are too strict for most & no one wants to stay married to one person anymore. The Mormons avoid divorce, they just keep getting married.

Yes I would say Islam, unless you mean Pentecostalism. There are some cults within Pentecostalism, but the entire movement is not.
