I do, from the Biblical evidence it points to a little under that when you add it all up.

well we know that Jesus died 2006 years ago, and if you count the traceable time line that the bible gives from his death back to creation, you will get an upside of 4000+ years. that leaves me to believe the earth is only 6-7 thousand years old. I suppose what anyone would believe about the earths years would depend on what they believe about how the earth came to be.

I wanted to believe it, because the Bible teaches it. Now the RATE project by the Institute for Creation Research gives scientific validity for a young earth.

Who would believe that? If dinosaurs came here a million years ago, how could the world be 10,000 years old.

The earth is a young earth. God created it in it's mature state. For instance Adam and Eve were adult in body when they were one day old. The plants and animals were mature also. I believe that the earth was mature, looking many millions of years old, when it was created.

Uh, that's not exactly a R&S question. But for starters, the dinosaurs got wiped out 65 million years ago, on Earth.

Religious nutballs.

@Damian. 'Biblical Evidence' is an oxymoron. There is no 'evidence' in the Bible. The bible is just a book. Not fact. That would be like saying that there are, in fact, Green Eggs and Ham, and Sam I am does, in fact, like them, and would have them on a boat and with a goat. Why? Because a book said so.
