I guess what I'm asking is, while sitting in traffic, I see MCs passing though in the middle of the fast lane and the lane to the right of it. And if you don't scoot over to make way, an accident might occur. And if you are switching lanes, and do not see an oncoming MC (as they are not as easily viewable comapred to cars), you might also cause an accident. I have a hard time accepting this to be legal. Hope this makes sense. Your thoughts?

No. It's against the law and they are idiots. I have and ride a motorcycle and think those types of riders are dumb and risking their own well being as well as everyone that is around!

Not legal in Florida.
Bad drivers here.
Filtering should be allowed if traffic is moving less than 20mph. (although a bunch of idiots will try and stop anyone getting past them)
Anybody realise/know how uncomfortable it is to be stopped in summer traffic without any breeze?
If more people rode Motrocycles then they may get more awareness and congestion would automatically be cut down

Motorcycle drivers get bad raps due to some of the idiots on them. I call those ones "soon to be road pizza".
They drive like it won't happen to them.... but they forget when they drive like that they also change another persons life forever if they run them over.... sad... accidents happen .. but some people are just plain dumb and irresponsible while driving a vehicle.... never a cop when you need one....lol

I think it's rude of them, in California when we went drivers opened their doors when stuck in traffic so Motorcyclist couldn't drive through lanes.

Someone else asked this question in the newspaper. They said it is legal to do this as long as the traffic is moving less than 35mph.

It's legal in CA. I dunno about any other states. Shocked me the first time I saw it . Being legal does'nt mean it's a good idea. Sudden swerving by a car, or opening a door in stop/go, and the dude's screwed.

I think it is extremely dangerous and do not think that it is legal.
