How exciting!
I used to love to baby sit the young ones, because they generally will listen if the parents are doing their job. The smaller ones don't yet get the whole "you're not my mom" thing-- they just think that you are the adult in charge. (unless they don't listen to the parents either.)
I used to have a special box that I would bring with me babysitting. I would have crafts, coloring books, art supplies, books, and a list of games to play. (like I spy, and other easy verbal games.) I would keep cheap little prizes in there for the winner of the game, and would have certificates for the best listener of the night, the best helper, etc. Then we'd make a game out of cleaning the house. It sounds like kids wouldn't do it, but they do, and then when the parents come home to a clean house, they love you!!
Make sure that if you do the certificates, each child gets one, for something different, so no one feels left out. If you tell them right away about the certificates, they will try real hard to be good.
Always keep the same box for these things, as the kids will look forward to seeing it!
Another thing is to get them outside as much as possible.
You could look up a recipe online for play-doh and bring the ingredients. Let the kids make it with you, and let them each pick what color they want.....They can keep their play-doh in a zip-lock bag when you're done. Presto--- now you get the best babysitter award!

Start with that, and they will be clamoring for more of you!!!
Also, if the parents see that you're doing extra stuff, they may pay you more.

Dont go in trying to be a disciplinarian...just be yourself and do things that they enjoy and they will like you which in turn will make them listen to you!

I think a good idea is to make a schedule as to what you are going to do with the boys for the day. If you are old enough to drive (and the parents allow it) you can take them to a nearby park (or walk if it is close enough and they are old enough to listen). Make sure you don't plant them in front of the TV all day or sit around and talk on the phone to your friends. That will end in boredom for them and they will start acting up which will be harder for you! Just make sure you have some fun activities planned and they will love you...

Depending on their ages, you can try coloring, playing with cars/trains etc., reading books, blowing bubbles outside, riding bikes outside, playing in the backyard....anything fun! Good Luck! =)

Your job is to keep them from hurting themselves, pay attention to them, play games with them, and generally keep them safe. If they do anything disrespectful or mean just report it to the parents when they come home and let them deal with it. You don't have to sit them again if they're little monsters.

Well, Talk to them like they are not KID... and when they are playing toy...Try to play with him... They are thinking that they are not kid/baby... Sometime make some baby job to let them laughing, then they will start to like you as a friend... Don't always tell them what to do...

Babysit them naked and let them play with anything that hangs or can be poked.

Like ears and belly buttons?
