Hello,
I wouldn't say that an Arab, language is hard, it just about breaking the barriers.

It depends on you if you want to learn just to speak that cut the difficultly into half, which is cool

Pimsleur Recorded Books, Rosetta stone , you can also try Teach yourself Arabic course as well.

Colloquial Arabic is good as well

Take care

The big problem that faces a person who studies Arabic is that the spoken Arabic is very different from the Arabic you learn in classes, the classic Arabic is difficult, but talking to natives is easy.

The Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California, divides the languages they teach into four groups, from easiest to most difficult, as measured by the number of hours of instruction required to bring students to a certain level of proficiency. Arabic belongs to to the group 4, most difficult one, and requires 1320 hours of instruction for a student with average language aptitude to reach level-2 speaking proficiency. Learning vocabulary and pronunciation may cause problems at first.

lol forever! i have been married to an arab guy for 2 yrs and i still dont understand much and i cannot read it! its very hard and difficult cuz they have a different alphabet and sounds! good luck if u try but the best way is to go to a place that teaches it and take the class then u can hear ppl speak it with the proper accents. and always remember they read from right to left!
