The majority of concerts that you go to will use Shure Mics on alot of instruments including vocals. This is a vocal mic as is the Senn mic. The sm58 provides a sound that everyone is used to. If you are going to use this as a rental or even for an install, such as a club, go with the sm58 it is an industry standard for mics. I toured for one month with four bands, one of them used the E945, I like the sm58, this was also the choice of the remaining 3 bands.

I have been using Shure SM58's for 25 years. They are the absolute best stage mic for the money. They sound great and they are virtually indestructable. The Beta version sounds even better. I've used Sennheisers in the past as well, and there's no comparison.

Both are great mics but I always trust reliable Shure. Especially the older ones, they just seem to have a better sound to them.

I am not certain on this one. I'd personally need to go have a try of both mics but I do know that Sure is a highly used and trusted mic manufacturer.
