You probably won't be able to tell until further down the road, maybe when that person is gone from your life. Looking back it's easy to tell who I had crushes on, though it seemed like I loved them then, and who I really loved.

u can have a crush on someone walking in the street , u don't have to know this person , it's just something in him that attracted u as his hair , eyes ,way of walkingor whatever . on the other hand , u can't fall in love with this person without actually starting to know each other , share some conversations and then u start to admire his qualities which would lead to a romantic relationship and stuff like that ...

with a crush you easily forget the person when they are not in sight but when you are in love, you find yourself always thinking of them and being almost like in a trance filled with thoughts of that person. huge difference
