probably be put "on hold" or scrapped? The article said, that puts his overhaul of immigration in "serious doubt"!! "The unusual decision to set a new round of hearings on legislation already passed, places a serious roadblock in the drive for Bush's immigration reform". "This is EXCELLENT news, for those of us who believe we need to concentrate on enforcement first," said Rep. J.D. Hayworth.
Rep. Tom Tancredo said."The nail was already in the coffin, of the Senate's amnesty plan. These hearings probably lowered it into the grave"!!!!
The other AMNESTY IDIOTS,such as Kennedy,McCain, and Specter (to mention a few) are all CRYING in their beer!
YEAH!!!!!!!

You know it's quite interesting that the issue of immigration has gotten the American people all fired up like it's life or death for them, whereas when their own loved ones are sent to a war over questionable arguments, their voice is hardly heard. Yes it's wrong for people to come here illegally, and if they're here for drugs or whatever, then they should be punished. But for us to force out families that have been here for many years and are just trying to live a better life than the one they had is not just unreasonable, but inhumane. It's our duty to control our borders and prevent them from coming; those already here who can prove their worth to our country shouldn't suffer because we failed our own people during the past 20 years. Use your minds and stop spewing hate.

mccain is a supporter of the illegals. i usually vote democratic, but if he runs for president, i would vote for osama bin ladin before i vote for someone who sells out his people every chance he gets. mccain is a dumbass who does not deserve to be president. lou dobbs has a list of all the senators who support giving illegals a free ride, check it out.

bush is an idiot, and anything he suggests shoudl be scrapped. how did that fool get to be the president. i thought the president was a job where you had to have experience. not just 8 years as govenor of the state where most of the illegals are. i guess if you join the air force and go AWOL, and NEVER fight, and if you get a C- average at yale, the president is the perfect job for you?
don't you think that someone who actually fought in vietnam, someone who has been a senator, and has over twenty years of political experience, after he FOUGHT in the war, don't you think that would be a better president? someone with experience? kerry?

"Probably" and "or" are the operative words. What is unusual about a new set of hearings; that's always been the MO, or we wouldn't be in this mess.

And aren't you a sassy one. It says more about you to be calling our public officials idiots. You sound like a modern day grave digger.

Stand back. I don't support illegal immigration nor open borders, but I do support having some class and respect.

Thank God. I have been reading where Bush and Ted Kennedy's amnesty bill faced heavy opposition from the House since the Senate voted yes on this horrid bill. But you can be sure Bush/Kennedy/McCain/Specter/Clinton will be back at it next year.

J.D Hayworths campaign pollsters called me last week to get my opinion on the illegal immigration issue. The ask if you are more likely to vote for a candidate who is for or against illegal immigration, amongst others. I told them that I did not favor the Senates bill and that I would vote against any candidate that was for that particular bill. I see I was not the only one who voiced their opinion against the Senate's bill. I am glad that some Senators are listening to the American public.

I hope so, the House seems to be americans' last, best hope on pulling the plug on the illegal immigration problem, good on em for sticking to their guns and fighting the interest conflicts that want to sell the country right out from under americans' feet.
They should knock down K street and have done with it. No more Abramoffs etc...no more hyphenated-american special interest garbage. One People, one law, one standard, if you don't like it, move back to Nocashistan, and we'll buy you a free plane ticket! LOL

I saw parts but not all of that. Do you have a link?

I don't think they were planning on scrapping the idea, just starting with a new bill next year. They tried to give too many things to too many people in this one, and in my view it needs to be scrapped, if ever a bill did.

Thanks!

Its called renaming and repackaging his resolution. I believe the government wasn't ready for the backlash of protest and marches from supports of amnesty and those against current illegal immigration policies.

1. let you email your reps for free
2. see how your reps vote.
