Well I would love to say that looks aren't an issue. In this day and age it is! There is too much importance put on looking like the perfect model or the perfect man. The money issue of it may not be as important. You can be happy with a poor man as long as you love one another whether he was extremely handsome or just so so. This is a kind of catch 22 question.
My personal feeling is if I met a poor man and we were attracted to one another I would definitely go for it, with him being handsome as a "plus". If I met a man who made a good living and he was a bit conceited or his personality just wasn't what it should be I would definitely not pursue that one, no matter how "cute" he was or kinda cute he was. As they say, money does not always bring you happiness!

There are degrees of poverty. Poor as in he works for a living, has an okay apartment and drives a honda civic? Or poor he has no job, no car and lives in his mom's basement? If the first scenerio is what you meant, yes, I'd date him. He need only be able to support himself and afford to take me out on dates. If the second scenerio is what you meant, than no. Handsome or not, if he's of a certain age (by 28) and has nothing going for himself and nothing to offer me, then why waste my time?
A kinda cute guy is cute enough for me really, no matter what. But making a good living is relative also. He makes a good living as in we can travel to Rome, Paris and Spain all in one year and we take the yacht out on the weekends? Or he makes a good living where we can be comfortable and take a weekend trip to Cozumel or go on a cruise once a year? Either way, I'd be okay with it.

Momma always said it is as easy to love a rich man as a poor one. Everyone wants to live good. So, definitely the one who makes a good living. I am saying this as a 28 year old who's man DOES make good money. This being said, I married him when I was 18. He graduated from a State College and I graduated from Notre Dame. I loved him so much at the time (and still do) that I honestly thought I may be the one to make more money in the marriage. But, it hasn't been the case. So, I guess it all depends on age is what I am saying.

Yes, I agree that money is very important and looks are not all that matters. But what about love? If there is no love between two people, no understanding, no spiritual connection, then what is left? Sure, you can go on as many shopping sprees as you like, buy all the diamonds and accessories you want and he'll pay all your bills.. But when you're feeling upset or lonely and need someone by your side, will he be there for you? When you're talking, will he understand what you're talking about? Sex. As long as a man has a penis, then he can give you sex. However, if two people just have sex for the pleasure of it or just looking for someone to mate with, then what is the difference between human and an animal? The pure happiness of being with someone you love isn't something money can buy... Also, consider this..what if one day, the rich man goes bankrupt and the poor man becomes rich? Are you going to dump the "rich" man and marry the "poor" man?

I think you already know this answer. Of course a kinda cute guy that makes a good living. Don't get me wrong a handsome man is great but you will be spending a lot of nights if not all at your house.

I choose the kinda cute guy. Kinda cute is better than ugly and atleast you know that he has goals that he can reach. I personally like guys with ambition and a poor guy obviously doesn't have any. His only ambition is to look good enough to make the woman take care of him.

A poor hottie will only have his looks for so long, then he's just poor, and I've already been the mommie to a HOT man with no goals or dreams or job..he just sat around, didn't want to do anything, or be social...BORING

kinda cute guy that makes a good living i would rather have a roof over my head then just be staring at a beautiful man in a box in a alley somewhere. but (loophole) if the beaut wants to turn his life around and make some money and life with me then i wouldn't stop him.
