I am 31. What I think of a college student I think someone who is curious, fun, a bit sophomoric, full of life and energy.

I am a 22-year-old soldier in the Army, been in since I was 18 years old. Soon I will leave the military after 4 years around the world and start college this fall.
I happen to be from a college town, and the students comprise much of the local population. They come from many different backgrounds and places. Our local economy depends on them as they work at most of the businesses and spend what money they do have locally.
Words that come to mind...mostly young, broke, smart, hard-partying, hard working people. I don't know how you define "adult" but this message is from someone who has done quite a lot for his age.

I live in a small college town, I think it is very aggravating because they come in and take all the jobs that the local people need, We have had two murders in our town and it has been college kids and drugs were involved, and the kids were not from this town. The murders were within a year of each other.

I was a college student once!!! When I think of college students (I have a son in college now) I think of young people filled with hope who have their whole lives ahead of them. I admire them for making the choice to go to college and make something of themselves and change the future for the better. When I see a college student I think of a nice, responsible young person.

Seriously, I think college students are in the process of polishing out or fine-tuning who they want to be or what they want to make of themselves.
But this does not represent majority of college kids. A lot of them trulu believe that college is the fun you're entitled to have before reality and responsibility bite you in the ***!
