This is a DAILY routine for me. Everyday in the morning when I wake up I do 30 nonstop situps and 50 nonstop jumping-jacks. Then I run/jog in place for 5 minutes stopping only 3 times to drink water. Then on the night before sleeping I do 100 jumping-jacks and 50 situps also. I run/jog in place for 5 minutes also. I am a 13 year old girl. Height 5'1. Weigh 110. I like to be active during the day also. I drink plenty of water since now its getting hotter. Will this be good to stay at the same weight or even lose weight?
I eat a balanced meal everyday 3 times. Please respond anyone.*** P.S I probably do this 5-6 days a week.

You will plateau quickly here is a plan I used to help me I do this everyday and am happy and healthy.

If you want to do this it is for life so you need to totally change your way of eating and exercising. This is not a diet rather than a healthy eating plan for life. So no more talking diet cause it means time limit. Stop making some major mistakes wake up earlier and get active earlier your metabolism is sluggish and needs to be woken up this is half your problem.

Here are the golden rules:
Initially cut down to 1200 calories.
Exercise 6 times per week for 1 hours a day. Do three weight sessions and three cardio sessions. No gym involved.
Don't eat carbs after 4pm, never eat carbs within 2 hours of exercise or within 1 hour of exercise.
Drink 3 litres of water per day. You can have a green tea at the end of the day.
Limit your fruit in take to 2 pieces per day.
Never eat dinner after 6pm.
Adopt of low GI eating plan this is sustainable for life!
Make low fat dairy choices

Follow this menu plan as a suggestion:
Breakfast 7am - 1 cup hot water w lemon
20 minutes later have a bowel of oats w water (no honey) OR
fruit salad w low GI soy yogurt
Snack 10am - pear or apple (both low GI)
Lunch 12.30pm - multigrain sandwich w 50g tuna & salad (no butter)
Snack 3pm - low GI yogurt OR skim berry smoothie (no honey or banana) plenty of ice, 1/2 cup skim milk & 1/4 cup yogurt
Dinner 5.30pm - 120g grilled lean meat/fish/prawns/tofu patties (not fried) w spinach salad & mixed vegies (no whites, carbs) OR 3 egg white/soy omlette with ham, cheese and tomato
Snack - 1 scoop of low cal low fat ice cream (if hungry)

Exercise is must be intense. Refer to www.bodybuilding.com for your weights routine. Never do weights two consecutive days have a cardio day in between.

Cardio needs to include running, go hard up stair wells and cycling. You get the most benefits from exercise when your body is totally fatigued and this is when you see changes.

To maintain you can increase calories to 1500 and reduce exercise sessions to 3-4 times per week. If weight creeps up again due to holiday period etc.. go back to 1200 cal and 6 sessions again.

Good luck it worked for me it can work for anyone.

I think your fine, although it sounds like a bit much to do every day. if it works for you, keep it up, and be proud of yourself. Water is a good thing.
Stopping 3x in 5 minutes seems like the one thing that is a little on the excessive side, but perhaps you are truly thirsty or in need of the water. I run outside for 45 minutes - 1 hr. 5 minutes, and I stop along the way just once for a bottle of water, then drink a mug of it when I get home, but then again, I never did drink alot of water.
Don't be concerned about weight, as you are still young, and are due to sprout upwards shortly enough.
When you are about 25, The ideal weight for a woman is 100 lbs. for 5', and 5 lbs. for every inch after that, so idealistically, you are in that ballpark now.
My weight is suppose to be 130 lbs, and I am between 127-130.
I am happy with this, too.
I bet you look great, feel great, and you sure are dedicated.

Well, I think sit-ups are not very good for your back - you won't mind this at 13, but as time goes by....
Best thing for losing/maintaining weight is to get aerobic - and to do that, you have to exercise for more than 20 minutes.
Also, these are pretty high-impact exercises you're doing - may lead to stress and distress in ankles, knees, spine, etc.
Try to work out a low-impact, 30 to 45 minute routine, and just once a day, 3 to 5 times a week.

See your doctor first, and weigh daily.

Good for you for being health conscious, and wanting to be fit! This seems like a great routine. Also remember that at 13 your body will change all on its own a bit too, either gaining or losing weight, but you are doing right by exercising to stay fit. If you notice that you have trouble sleeping, you may want to do your evening routine at least 2 hours before bed so your heartrate can slow down and you can relax more fully.

Yes that will help you stay at the same weight, maybe even loose some weight. You don't need to loose too much weight. You're only 13. As you get older into your teens, some of the baby fat will come off on it's own. Don't stress about it!! Just eat healthy and keep doing your exercises! You will be great.

If it works you'll definetly see it work in a few days. At your age metabolism can be kept running very fast with little effort just because the body is growing. So check also your food intake. Is it balanced? Are you eating too many carbohidrates? Do you neat plenty of fresh fruit and vegies? Its is easy to see if it works in a couple of weeks.

lt is good to have a routine in your life and to set goals that are reasonable and reachable. Folks bodies are all different and you should remember that just because you see your self one way other folks may see you in a different light altogether. In other words weight is not the only thing you should take into consideration. You may feel better or worse alot depends upon attitude and sheer determiation.

You don't need to lose weight...you are still growing.Exercise is good but don't over do it. You could start to miss your period if you have even started. Go to www.fitnessmagazine.com and on this site you will find a calorie intake guide for your weight and height plus other fitness information.I hope you find it helpful. It's good that you want to take care of your health at such a young age but don't go crazy over it.
