I love long hair

Time restraints...

I am in my mid 40's, have a full time job, a home to take care of (hubby not much help here), and I have finally realized that I am never going to be a beauty queen nor do I have the time or desire to be one. I have accepted that I am comfortable with my life, my looks and my choices in life and my hair is my choice...public opinion plays no part.

There you go, straight from an older woman's mouth...

Because having long hair is a pain in the *** for most people and when women get to a certain age, they don't care. Besides, when you get a little older, your hair doesn't exactly have the volume and thickness as it used to and actually looks better shorter.

My aunt tells me that older women accept the inevitable fact that their hair will begin to thin, and they cut it shorter to get people used to them having less hair, so when it starts to thin, it's less of a shock.

Then again, my aunt is demented. LOL I'm just kidding. She does love to joke around though. I don't know if she was being serious or not.

It's all simply a matter of personal preference. We have short hair and guys just like it. And i prefer a person with short hair over a person with long hair because long tresses tends to make guys look as well girly.

the hair is thinning and a shorter hair style makes the hair appear fuller. and short hair makes a older woman look younger.

I think it is once a woman becomes a mom or a professional because it gets easier to care for and can be lighter and cooler for summer. But, then again, I have long hair and no desire to cut it

i always wonder that! you never see a woman over 60 with long hair..ever. its always curly too. the only thing i can figure is that the short, set curled hair style was really big in the 40s and 50s (when they were growing up) so maybe that has something to do with it?
