being an atheist and being immoral, confused and empty have nothing to do with each other.
If you are a religious zealot who is trying to make a point, then you have some problems accepting people with differing viewpoints. If you are not and truly atheist, then you have other problems with self worth and identity.
I am myself not an atheist, and I subscribe to the view of intelligent evolution. I believe there is room for God (in my case, your religious views may differ) and also the continued study of evolution. Both are theories, but have people who are willing to judge others based on their preference.
I guess what I am trying to say is: It is stupid to judge someone as less than you based on a difference of opinion or belief. It is extremely selfish to assume you know all, and that your beliefs are somehow best for me. Give respect and tolerance, and you will be more enlightened than a thousand Bibles or a thousand proofs to evolution could ever give you.

I don't believe that evolution has anything to do with atheism. If God chose to create a dynamic evolving world rather than a relatively static one that is His business. Who are we to tell Him how He did things. God is not a deceiver and indeed the evidence we have points to an evolutionary process producing the life forms we see on Earth today. As far as emptiness, confusion, and immorality go - These are the natural result of a godless life. I perceive that you are asking this question on a theoretical basis since the thrust of the question is this issue of evolution. So I will not preach to the choir and tell you that you need Jesus in your life to fill the void, get rid of the confusion, and infuse you with His virtue - but all of these are true. I presume you are a Christian and are saved already. Praise God. I differ with you on my view of evolution though. I would not want to narrow the gates of heaven excluding those who happen to believe in an evolving world. This issue is one that does not matter as much as the other ones and sharing Christ's love without getting into science is a more effective way of ministering the Gospel. God bless you with His love in Christ.

If you know you are empty, confused and immorral, and from your tone you don't want to be that way, why are you looking for other people who are in a similar situation? why not just ask people their opinion of how you can gain clarity, meaning and principles. One way is through religion, and we both know theres plenty to choose from, yet your an athiest, so I'm guessing thats not the way you want to go. the other 2 ways I know of are spirituality and science (both of which I embrace equally), which you can do jointly or separately at your leisure.
Don't stress about evolution. It is unlikely you were lied to about evolution. Evolution itself is the lie. The true history of Earth can not be found in any book, CD or movie, because no-one knows for sure, so we are all just making it up as we go, and we will be wrong in the future, about many things. So i say again, don't stress about evolution. focus on you, and how you present yourself to the world. choose and define what you believe, and make those beliefs work in your favour. fine tune your mind and the body will follow. In the words of Gandhi, "be the person you wish to see in the world."

Maybe you should be on the "confused, immoral, empty, deceived evolutionist" Answer board and quit interjecting hatred and loathing into this board? NO? I know why. Do you know why you're antagonizing the people in this category day after day? It's because you hate yourself and everything around you. You can't be happy so you don't want anyone else to be happy. You can't be happy unless you belittle someone who is sincerely seeking an answer to a question that could lead them closer to God. You want to be closer to God, but then your heathen friends wouldn't have anything to do with you anymore because you would have turned into a "good" person.

You have not been lied to. You have just accepted too freely on something you thought was true, and then you realized you have made only a simple mistake. Don't worry. Learn from it and move on. Just keep your mind open and follow your heart. I assure you, you are not empty. You are just unaware of what you actually are filled of. Find something that you love doing. Keep doing it. Forget everything else, and eventually you will find that beauty that is within you. That is the same that is within everyone.

If you are lost and confused, then maybe being a atheist isn't the way to go! Maybe searching hard inside yourself, finding peace with knowing God loves you no matter what is enough for you to maybe find resolution. Evolution is speculation, science vs. religion is really irrelevant. God in your heart is excepting Jesus Christ as the man that made sacrifices for you, there is proof of him scientifically. Just let your heart believe, welcome them into your life and just maybe you won't be immoral or empty. God forgives!

Well I haven't been lied to about evolution b/c I don't believe in it. Let me put it to you like this, if humans evolved from monkeys and apes then why are there still monkeys and apes? Have you ever wondered about that? Since it looks like you are wanting to turn your life around and turn it in another direction there are websites you can look up and read the bible online if you are willing to do that. well maybe thats because the theory of evolution is BULL ****. things just cant come out of NO WHERE. ok a single cell, WHERE DID IT COME FROM? Now some people may feel the same way about God but it makes alot more sense to believe in a higher being that has always been than to believe that things physically appear out of nothing!

Hey man, from me to you..Jesus still loves you! No matter how much you didn't believe, He cares..I care. And if you feel empty, try Him and let Him fill the void.
