Hmmm..... im getting alot of girl response which supports what I said, but from a guys point of view? The sexual attraction is helped by not knowing her intimate details, flaws, moods, periods....etc etc???

it just makes me feel he's not interested in me, so I better look for someone who is and try to forget him..maybe it does, maybe it doesnt...but it takes all my hope of becoming something more away

No it doesn't, depending on the guy and what his motives are. You want to be friends first so you can have some substance and be able to learn about one another without sex confusing anything. You will only want her more if you wait and the sex will be much greater. Plus it gives both of you time to find out if the person you are with is the one you really want to share your body with. That is the main reason, it could just be you also. If every girl is singing the same I just want to be friends first song then that could be a red flag on your part. Hint: If a girl is really into you we don't have to mention let's be friends you go with the flow. On the other hand you'll are probably young and that is just what young people do. It's confusion cause you are not suppose to be doing "it". Much love.

YES...dont listen to anything about what a girl say they really want..because everything a girl wants only looks good on paper...when you try to put the things they want into action...they go for the guy they dont understand...or the guy that is a jerk but seems to be a good person at heart..or the guy they have to tame...trust me its not the guy that is nice and decent right off the bat most of the times...the only time things like friendship plays any role in a girl guy relationship is say youve known her for a year and you guys are like bestfriend, then there is a good chance she will fall for you...becaue there is a good chance you will fall for her...but even then you have ot worry about that because some girls have this thing where they can just turn off attraction and just totally be friends..

I know what is like to be in the position your question asks about. Theres a fine line between the romantic feelings with a boy and a girl, and the friendly emotions between a boy and a girl.
When you become buddy-buddy, most girls tend to reduce what they expect of a guy to just being a friend. If you overlap into these different areas of emotion, things can happen, but if your sure that whoever likes you back, get your confidence together and do a little!

Girls feel that they need to get to know the the guy as a friend in order to see if they will be able to trust him. Girls may not think that a guy is attractive at first but as they get to know his personality they may become attrated to him. Friendship can lead to a more intimate relationship. I believe that if you are truely interested in the person becoming friends will make the attraction greater as you learn more about her and you both begin to connect.

Nope. That is why men engage in platonic relationships with girls. So that one day, you will be there for them at the right time to scoop up a nice rebound or a nice "what the hey"!
It helps that you have already planned the deed a thousand times in your mind along the way, so yes, the fantasy only strengthens.

No - it should increase the attraction if you become good friends with the person.

The more you get to know her you might grow stronger feelings for her or you might decide you guys are better off friends.

not if you want more than sex. Sometimes the only way a girl will ever become sttracted to you is by getting to know you.
