Some stores will accept 14 year olds. If you go to school go to your guidance office and ask if you can have your working license. Then just go around some stores looking for help and see if they'll hire you. You can probably get a job as a cashier or something light like that.
Ask around, something might come up.

My best advice is to go with something small and local. Big chains like McDonalds and Wal-Mart or something like that will most likely not hire a 14 year old...there are a lot of legal stipulations that govern working policies and they just don't like dealing with it.

I landed a job at a local church, working for a vacation bible school program, and that was just fine for me. If you look at maybe a church, or some other smaller, local business, you might be able to get a job. Babysitting also works...that's a nice way to get him/her busy during the summer, but making money at the same time, which is cool. Best of luck! Happy searching!

Mow yards, babysit, clean houses, wash cars, etc. Do the same as your chores but do them for someone else for more money.

And it's all cash under the table.

I caddied at my local private golf course when I was 12. Also, you could sweep the front of stores, or wash windows for money.
