Yes. To both questions. When socialism takes over the first thing to suffer is the military. While Canada has a military, I would bet that the California National Guard has more members than Canada's military. If some country attacked Canada, I hope we stay out of it just as they stayed out of the war on terror. We could send 1000 troops to Niagara Falls, like they did to the middle east. I suppose that would be OK.

Canada, of course, has its own military. But due to the great relation between the two countries, I'm sure the US armed forces would help Canada in the very unlikely event that a third country attacts it.

The Royal Canadian military has existed since it became an Independant country, and it is almost a member of a British Commonwealth defense act, i believe...basiacally, in a war that threatens Britain or Canada, bot will help eachother
