its means just what you wrote.. if you love someone set them free, if they come back to you their yours.
However some psycho people believe ..if you love someone set them free, if they don't don't come back to you, hunt them down..

I totally agree with the statement. As long as they know that you are truly interested in them, but you are letting them go do their own thing, and they are really into you they will come back to you. Every now and then people need their space in a relationship, and as long as the relationship is strong, it can endure this time apart.
