My fiance and I have been having some relationship problems lately, and I'm really interested in doing something romantic for him but I'm a little short on cash. Any ideas?

I understand it's difficult for people to have LOGICAL answers. Enough with the stupid sex responses; all I'm doing is reporting you.

If you have a camera, you could make him a tape - got to all the places that have good associations for the two of you (first date, first intimate connection, etc etc), and at each place film a single "reason why I love you", linked to the place, but speaking honestly about your feelings. If you're very brave, you can even touch on some of the difficulties you've been having, and express your hope that the love the two of you share will help you get through this time, and future difficulties, together. It's a good idea to think the tape through first, so you have an idea of how it's going to fit together.

If you don't have the camera or can't get hold of one, you can still do the "reasons why I love you" thing - write them down, one by one, on good quality paper and tie them with some ribbon. Then when time allows, hide them around his life - if you can put them in different places - his place, your place, maybe work (depending on whether he'd be laughed at for romantic things at work), in his car etc...
Just so that wherever he is, he can discover a little of why you love him, and feel you with him throughout his day and night. For added effect of course, you can add a drop or two of your perfume to the paper.

After a little while of this, when he comes home (or to your place), have a hot bath poured for him, lots of tealights (though not anywhere in his path to the bath(!)) for a romantic atmosphere. Have an alcoholic beverage ready for the two of you. Maybe even bathe him if you're both comfortable with that. Foot massage to finish off, while telling him how you feel about him. Then take him to bed - either the romantic mood will ignite into passion, or, perhaps even better, you can pull him close and hold him to you for the warm, romantic connection of it, untill he drops off to sleep.

Just some ideas. Hope things go well for you.

My husband and I go online and look up the activities calender for your city. There are lots of fun free activies out there (ex: concerts, festivals, beach etc). We were tired of the whole dinner and movie thing also. Hope this helps!
