Fat isn't a question of what the scale says. It is a function of how much muscle and how much fat you have. Some of it you can see (the pudge on your belly) some of it surrounds your internal organs. All people need some body fat to process nutrients carefully and to help regulate body temperature.
You can get your fat tested in most gyms, or purchase inexpensive calipers. I have a bathroom scale by Tamita that cost around $60 that can actually read body fat and is reasonably accurate! It's cool!
A young woman probably wants her body fat to be somewhere in the high teens to low 20's.
Some use BMI as a gauge. Doctors will do this and you can find BMI calculators all over the net.
But BMI is limiting because some people have more muscle, even if their weight is higher than average and have low body fat. This means they are still very healthy.
Muscle weighs more than fat and two people who are the same height and weight but have different percentages of muscle will vary in size. The person with more muscle will be leaner, trimmer and thinner. Plus muscle burns more calories and the person with more muscle has a higher metabolism 24 hours a day.
So...you are definitely not overweight, but are you fat? The only way to know that is to get it measured.
If you don't like what you see in the mirror, hit the gym. Start weight training and you'll get trimmer and leaner fast, even if your weight doesn't drop an ounce.

its "supposed" to be 100 pounds for 5 feet and then 5 pounds for each inch after that so you should technically be 120. but of course that will vary according to frame size. i still wouldnt consider 125 fat though. i am 5'5" and 115 but it all depends on how comfortable you feel with yourself. you dont have to be like everyone else! if YOU feel unhappy with your weight then do something about it but dont let others influence your decision.

I am 5'4 and when I weigh 125 I AM FAT. I think it all depends on bone structure and muscle to lean body mass. When I weighed 125 my body fat was WAY TOO HIGH. So my answer is IT ALL DEPENDS!

I am 5'4" and my best weight is 110 lb to 115 lb, I do not think 125lb is fat, however 125 lb with exercised body and 125 lb with non-exercised body is different.. but over all, no it is not fat at all.

no, that's really normal actually. I'm 5'4" and 140lbs and my doctor told me anywhere between 120-140 is normal for a girl that height. It also depends on how old you are, but 125 is the weight I would LOVE to be at!

No, actually that is a good size for your height. If you are self conscious just work out to build muscle tone. You may gain weight though because muscle weighs more than fat, but you will look thinner.

No you're not fat. That's a healthy weight for that height. You can calculate your Body Mass Index on Yahoo Health if you want to be sure for yourself that you're in a healthy weight range.

Good goddess, no! In fact, depending on your overall condition and body composition, you may be a bit too thin! Don't ruin your health and self-confidence trying to look like one of those artificial waifs in the fashion magazines. They live on drugs and shredded kleenex to look like that. Be healthy, exercise to keep good muscle tone, and be proud and confident that you look beautiful as a REAL woman should.
