The world is familiar with Egyptian hieroglyphics. The world also knows, that things familar to humanity as represented in these writings are not to be taken literally, but represent rather, things spiritual.
These writings are a derivative of the science of correspondence.
The science of correspondence, is the science that uses things in nature to represent spiritual truth.
It for this reason, many scriptures are written in the language of the science of correspondence, but which meanings must be learnt.
It delighted the ancients to write like this, as they understood the spiritual significance of everthing in their environment, including humanity - in relation to each other and the Creator.
Theists, East and West proclaim a triune God.
Among humanity, He created womanhood as representing His Divine love (and His greatest creation). And He created manhood as representing His Divine wisdom, and presented him with His greatest creation to ACT in unison, like Himself.
Because a woman is the love of a man's wisdom; a man is the wisdom of a woman's love. Together they make ONE and ACT as such in harmony with Divine law.
God therefore, did not "assign" specific roles to men and women, but intended they should both unite as one - as He intended - in serving society in whatever manner they can, each according to his/her abilities.
Specific roles, based on gender, is man-made and divisive.
Peace,
Sharing

Men, in the past, were working all day long, and women where breastfeeing kids... and breastplaying the husband as a relaxation technic...... ;-0
OK, OK, let's get more serious: The bible is an interpretation, not the truth of what was said 2000 years ago. The bible has been modified by the Church. I think God wants men and women to be equal and to love each other, and to develop their progeniture in a positive manner, in order to enable life over time in a peaceful manner.

Yes, that is why we have two sexes. Too many women today want to be men and that's why we are having so many problems in our society.
Relgious Life
Men: priests and brothers
Women: sisters
Domestic Life
Men: (if married) they are the head of the house. Final decision makers (God gave them more logic on the whole than woman who is very emotional), providers (must support their families financially if able), physical strength (mowing the lawn, doing heavy labor around the house
Women: (if married) Heart of the home, raising children, cooking, cleaning, saving money by being prudent with the funds that her husband brings home. She is to be protected and cherished. The husband should make decisions which would please his wife as the woman is his bride and love.
If single, women may obtain work and such other occupations, but still should not find jobs that require heavy manual labor and would endanger a man by his distraction with protecting her. (She shouldn't be a fire fighter, police officer, etc...)

Your Corinthians quote isn't contained in the unique, it became further a lot later more advantageous or a lot less as a clerical mistakes. Timothy is a forgery written some 2-three hundred years after Paul's lack of life. it really is shown through distinctive biblical scholars. Genesis is customarily allegorical and became written in many circumstances through misogynist early Jews. Now study the Gospels, see how a lot Jesus gave a lot more advantageous respect to woman than his lifestyle did oftentimes. and browse Paul heavily, see what percentage women folk he mentions, consisting of those that pontificate and baptize. It became in many circumstances women that supported Jesus for the time of his ministry and also supported Paul for the time of HIS ministry. advantages on your experience!

i believe god made men and women to be different and to experence different things and be role models in this world to make a difference, because there were alot of problems back in the day..when men had more rights then women..and i believe we are all here as indiviuals to learn and live and for god..but also live our own life and learn to accept each other as men and women instead of talking down about each other.

Only God knows. There is more to His will and plans for us that is BIGGER than our minds receive. We can't understand God's will, b/c we can't see the BIG picture like He can. He knows all and sees all. You can never hold that capacity of knowledge....I think a human would go insane to try to understand every reason He created something, someone, or some place. That's why you have to have trust in Him as your Councelor and Father of life to let you work THROUGH you (as a believer) to do His WORK, His PLAN, His WILL.

Sure, men and women are different. But the Biblical teachings about men and women are influenced by culture, and shouldn't neccessarily inform our modern thought.
