Why does he say cuz i'd really like to meet "Her"...i never heard of anyone thinking God as a woman except in that song....is it a different religion?

Some people believe God is a woman. Some people believe that God is both male and female. Some people believe that God is neither male nor female. And some people believe that God is male, female, both AND neither all at the same time.

There's also people that call female god "Goddess". There's people that believe in many Gods and/or many Goddesses.

Basically, if someone could think up of a religious concept, whatever it may be, there's probably someone out there that believes in it.

It could be one of two things... either just a statement about how picky people can be that God has to be male. In all truth even though we say "God the Father" God isn't male or female. God is spirit. But it is easier to say He than to call God It..
Also it could be something against the christian world view... as Christians again we refer to God the Father but most pagan religions have the Goddess... they believe that the creator God is the "divine feminine" like mother nature.

It could be a different religion, or it could be a vehicle to make a listener actually think about what god is to each individual person, instead of relying on whatever dogma that they are taught. Many religious beliefs over the years have held that the deity is either female or a blend of male and female or dualistic- both a god and goddess. perhaps the songwriters only wanted you and others to think.

There are many many religions and many many spiritual beliefs in the world.

The first and most lasting religious idea is the of the earth mother. Many people feel that there is no gender in god but if god created man in his image...whose image was woman created from? Just a thought for you to mull over.

No, it's not a different religion -- it's the the idea that God doesn't have to have a male gender. The song is call Counting Blue Cars, and it's by Dishwalla.

There is no telling whether God is a man or a woman I dont think its a religious thing or anything though. Have you seen that movie Dogma they had Alanis Morrisette play the role of God.

I was going to make a rude comment, but Ive changed my mind. There really must be something special about you. I dont know what, but its there. Kinda like the faint perfume scent people conjure when thinking of mom.
You, angel, are a diamond in the rough.

lol, no. many believe that god is male because of tradition, but god is most likely both sexes since god IS supposed to be everything.

when he says i would like to meet "her" it means a manisfection about god, that god can be anything, including a women, there has been aot of conterersy over this matter about god being both man and women (if he wanted to be) but i dunno, maybe he can be, after all anything is possiable with god.
