Personally, I support the troops and believe in our goals and objectives. That's not to say that there aren't things that should have been done better, though (of course).
But that's just me. Supporting the troops isn't a political statement. They're just people, like you and me. Support for them is our duty as Americans (those of us who are), because they literally were sent into harm's way in our name; it has nothing to do with support for the Administration or the war.

you could if you really want to. i support the us troops but i do not support the war in iraq. i think that the war is completely stupid. there were no weapons of mass destruciton, and iraq never did anything wrong to anyone. i support the troops because they have the courage to stand up for our country. but i definetly do not support war.

I don't believe you need to support the war to support the troops. They are just doing their job and are not the people who make the decisions or set policy.

I support the troops 100% but not the war. The troops do there jobs and what they are told. They don't get to pick and choose what wars they participate in.

No those two things are both divergent. I knew soldiers who did not support the war but killed insurgents in Iraq.

I don't think we have to support one to support the other..i'm totally behind our soldiers..they are doing their sworn duty, and going where they are sent...I don't agree with the war, but I think every single soldier who is fighting over there is a hero.

um. no you should support them performing their duties to the best of their abilities. but supporting the war to support the soldiers is like supporting abortion to support the unborn babies.. support them by bringing them home safe. and NOT cutting the funding for veterans like good old "supportive" GWB is doing...

No. you can support the troops for serving proudly even if you don't beleive in what they are serving for.
