I don't know that marriages are recorded in religious texts anywhere for any marriage. I flew a rabbi in from across the country to marry me in a resort town. I doubt if his congregation even knew. There are lots of people who can officiate a wedding that aren't even connected to a church. I imagine the only written documentation of some marriages is a marriage license and that is government not religious.

Any homosexual marriage that doesn't take place in Mass. isn't legally a marriage. Clergy might officiate, but it would only be recognised by the money they paid the clergy, not in church records, because most churches follow the KJV or NRSV Bible which don't base their verses off of the actual Aramaic and Greek bibles, but former translations. None of the original languages for the Bible even have the word "homosexual" in their vocabulary.

Most churches i've been to don't perform Homosexual marriages, you'd never guess why though, it's because the Bible (known as the foundation and guide of the church) states many times that homosexuality is a sin.

It would be considered a "religious ceremony." I have performed weddings for elderly people who didn't want to be "civilly" married for financial reasons, but wanted a religious ceremony. Whether or not it is recognized civilly and legally as a "marriage is a whole other issue.

it doesn't matter what the churches consider a marriage, it only matters what God considers to be a marriage.
