Is this happening due to trying to uninstall it from McAfee's uninstall feature? What version are you uninstalling? If you haven't already done so use 'add/ remove programs' in your control panel to uninstall it. Also, check their website http://www.mcafee.com for advice on how to uninstall or reinstall if it still fails.

Well it's not difficult buddy.
Go stepwise as follows :
1. Click on start (Left side bottom)
2. Click on Run
3. Write regedit and click OK
4. Select My Computer
5. Click on edit and than on find
6. Write mcafee in searchbox and find it, than delete it.
7. Do it again and again until it completly remove your registry.
8. After finishing, simply restart the computer..

dont feel bad i cant get mine off either. for some reason virus protection programs don't uninstall very easy

You could try re-installing it. Reboot your computer, clear your temporary files, reboot again & try uninstalling again.

go to the mcafee.com website. in their support faq they have directions on how to manually remove the product.
