I have a great amount of information on candle magick and the involvement of colors- as well as Astrology, but I'm more curious of the involvement of healing and their techniques.
I already understand you need the intention, visualization, so-forth, and not getting instant results.

I' ll try and clear it up- giving you a little back ground info first- I'm creating a book for my friend because she doesn't know much about candles and healing and so far I've researched about candle colors, involvement with astrology, and a little in aromatherapy, spell casting/ charging- but I was wondering if there is anything else I may have missed.

Well you can make your own healing candle! You will need to correspond with the phases of the moon in making it. I would think that the full moon would be a good time. It would be nice to incorporate some pleasant-smelling healing herbs w/ your green wax. And you'll need to put good mojo into it ofcourse. (Channel Universal energy - visualize healing light flowing throughout you and into the candle from your hands) Me personally, I've never made a candle and really don't know what you're looking for. Just an idea, though. Ever looked into Reiki?
And if you want to improve your visualization skills I can give you a few tips. It's good to practice. I learned a great exercise in a book - visualize a ball of light of every color of the rainbow crossing from the farthest left side of your vision to the farthest right (one color at a time - not a rainbow ball - red, orange, so forth). Bring each ball of color over one at a time, then bring it back around from the left side. It's more challenging than it sounds but it will sharpen that mind!
Oh, and visualizing being in a particular place, familiar or not (I would start with familiar), is also a good exercise. Take in all the sights, sounds, smells, sensations. Have fun with it.
Good luck and many blessings!
