I use Pinnacle Studio software, which came with a USB breakout box. The breakout box has sockets for a variety of input wiring. I found the software easy to get up and running. It will allow you to edit your video and add other sound tracks, as well as add other video to your final product. I enjoy using it very much.

I hope this helps.

you need a video acquisition card.
it has a composite and svideo input. it will let you record to your hard drive.
Or you can get someone to do it for you (any photo lab usually offer this service though it's often off site) and give you a cd or dvd you can edit on your computer.
