No... there is too much a 16 year old needs to experience that is so important. A 21 years has already had those types of experiences and it wouldnt be fair for either of you. when both of you are a little older it would be a differnt story

In most cases I would say it is unlikely to be a good idea.
At that age, the 21 year old is old enough to do a lot of things that the 16 year old can't do. A 16 year old can't drink, is still living at home and is still in school.
A 21 year old most likely is interested in going to bars and clubs, is most often not living with his/her parents anymore and is at least graduated from high school and is in college or is working full time.
These are very big things not to have in common that impact a relationship. In addition, they are both at different levels of sexual maturity. In fact, in most states it would be illegal for the 21 year old to have sex with the 16 year old and many people would perceive the 21 year old as taking advantage of the 16 year old.
Most parents would also be uncomfortable with their 16 year old son or daughter dating a 21 year old and when your parents don't approve that adds a whole new level of heartache and complexity.
My advice to the 16 year old is not to be in a hurry to grow up, enjoy being 16 and in five years if that 21 year old is still available, THEN see if it is a relationship that was worth waiting for.
My advice to the 21 year old is to avoid a situation like this that could cause serious trouble. There are plenty of twenty-something people out there to date.

What kind of sick 21 year old man cant get a woman his own age. If i found out my 16 year old daughter was seeing a 21 year old believe me he would be in jail or in pain. Besides what kind of relationship would that make ? The first time he wanted to go out with the fella's she could not go because of her age and that would cause trouble.

No, a 16 year old girl is still considered a minor in the eyes of the law. A 21 year old man is considered an adult - and could face charges for messing with a 16 year old (statutory rape).

Not really. But Joel Madden and Hilary Duff are what 8 years apart???? It's obviously okay for an 18(19 in September) to go out with a 27 year old.

Personally I don't think it's right but I did just find out my exes 16 year old sister is with a 19 year old guy and I was under the impression unless you're both under 18 or both over 18 it's wrong.

No way! First off the guy is 21 and if he can't get a girl his own age then he is a loser. secondly The 21 year old guy only wants to have sex with this girl and he knows he can get it really easy because younger girls are dumb. The relationship wouldnt last and the only one getting hurt would be the girl.

no at 16 your not thinking the way you should be im 22 and at 16 i was very mature and i look back now and think to myself what was i thinking most guys are in it for one thing and a little piece of advice for you dont give in and do it guys lose respect for girls like that and i was one of them just remember how special you are and enjoy being young dont rush to be with an older guy enjoy your freedom and teenage years youll want them back when your older and this is when you make alot of mistakes so just try and stay on the right path you can have sooo much fun if you dont rush into wanting to be older enjoy yourself in the right ways and make sure you know how great you really are and dont let anyone fool you
