If that's the case, I desperately need to shave my head for a while so it'll grow back nice and thick!

No even though most people say that in order for your hair to grow back thicker you would have to have your pores multiplied all over your body, it just seems thicker because your hair gets hard and more coarse each time you shave it until the hair shaft grows out, if you let the hair grow it will eventually get softer.

No it does not grow back thicker. It may seem thicker due to the follicle tube (is a tube the hair comes through before it comes out the skin,) but its not the texture of the hair it is the stiffness of the hair after new growth. The more you massage your scalp and clean it and proper care ( oily hair wash often, dry hair wash less and use moisturizer) the higher the chance is that you will have rapid hair growth. Your texture doesn't change unless a chemical compound is put on it too often or not properly used. And cutting is not the key to hair growth.

No it is not true. People will argue with me, but medically and scientifically, they are wrong. However, the more often you shave a part of your body, the faster it will grow back. Also, the more hair you have, the more testosterone your body produces....meaning greater libido and greater chance for having male pattern baldness (even if a woman).

I actually saw a thing on this a Dermatologist said it was a complete myth, hair does not grow back thicker, it grows back as it was.

Yes this is true.

If you shave certain private areas, please remember that not only will the hair come in thicker, it will be prickly as well, and will itch.

Have a lovely rest of the day.

No, it appears that way because the hair is widest at the bottom of the shaft, and when you shave it that become the top. Like shaving your face, it becomes more coarse.

Yes, thicker and darker. I'm not saying that if it has to be shaven once for a surgery this would happen - just that if it is done regularly it will.

Not in all cases, it just never grows back right. God put hair on us for a reason, society just doesn't want to accept the natural.
